6th Round #1: Corey Lynch

ArmyBengal

Lynch was one of my guys that I realy liked for value

He is a Marvin kind of guy, he tears it up on special teams.

I put this guys u-tube up he has instincts

He is one of best character guys in the draft- he is married into the Billy Grahm family or some famous preacher

value -value value

my question is are the Bengals ever going to adress RB,DE,and CB?

It sure as hell would be nice to have a pass rush for a change,by a change I mean for the 1st time in what 20 years?

This guy looks like he could be a steal, he has football instincts and that can carry a player pretty far. John Lynch's 40 time was timed at 4.64 and he turn out to be pretty good.

His pro day 40 time came early in the morning in cold and wet weather -I think it was even on grass

This is not the kind of guy that goes to speed came and shaves 2tenths off his 40

If you see him play he plays smart takes ,good angles and is a good tackler

his u tube

I like this pick as well, i thought he had some good skills from the videos and the Michigan game. Also the knock that he is overly agressive is kinda funny isnt that something you want in a safety rather than overly conservative? If he gamble and makes plays and brings the wood with the hits im happy.

If we didn't have so many other safeties on the roster, I'd like this pick a lot better.

Dammit, there is a LOT to like about this guy...character, production, high profile big plays, special teams ace, etc etc etc

I WANT this guy to succeed.

Despite the glut at safety, and not disparaging any of the other S we have, but I really, really hope this guy makes it as the 5th safety.

Seems like he plays strong a fair amount *glares at TJ* :D Can play both well it seems. No wonder marvin took him.

Looks like an intelligent player.

Hehe, glare all you want, 200 is fin for SS in college, not so much in the pros

Versatility is yet another PLUS for this fellow

But yeah, I am really warming to this guy.

I'll take any tiny, petty victory I can get, no matter if it's not even deserved. I agree though. Most likely to see more time at free safety if he makes it onto the depth chart which, like you, I hope he can.

Well, we have a lot of safeties on the roster but quality is suspect. Busing is a converted LB who IIRC didn't even make the final roster last year but got brought back after all the injuries. Kilmer is a converted wideout who spent all last season on IR. Hebert is a CFL player best known as a special teamer, and has character issues. Indiana Jones is a special teamer. White is a small-college guy still trying to get up to speed. Madieu's gone, and Dexter's starting to get rather expensive for a guy who is being pushed by a second-year man, Ndukwe, and struggles to stay healthy every year.

If quality is the issue, I can't see this pick being an improvement over what we already have...

My point is that at least he's an actual safety who, while from a small college, has shown the ability come up big in big games. That's a good thing, I think, when you've got a pileup of teamers and converted players at the position.

If you don't think this guy is a STEAL......you are BLIND! If you don't think that he will be starting by at LEAST year 3, think again. He has incredible ball skills. You really can't teach those. I think over 20 Int's, numerous defects and even 6 blocked kicks collegiately. If he can learn better tackling technique, he will be a star and instant starter on Special Teams in year 1. The difference between him and the Safties on the team after Nduke, Jackson and White is that he can pass cover. He will be on the dime unit in year 1, as well. By all accounts, he is a Teams demon. Great pick here.
