Pidge Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Not a bad idea Hooiser.I still want Highsmith. If, by some miracle, Highsmith is still there, we'll most likely pick a crack dealing dealing, axe-wielding punter instead.
HairOnFire Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Here's a thought. if he checked out medically....no jokes please....take a flyer on Jack Ikegwuonu.Gone in the 4th Seriously? How'd I miss that. Regardless, that took guts. Who pulled the trigger?

membengal Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I hope its someone with character issues, just to see the over-the-top screaming continue on this forum. Priceless.
Pidge Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I hope its someone with character issues, just to see the over-the-top screaming continue on this forum. Priceless. You're right. It's not like this has bitten the team in the past or even the present. Complete overreaction by all that are not dancing in the aisles about this pick.
Spor_tees Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I hope its someone with character issues, just to see the over-the-top screaming continue on this forum. Priceless. How can you call it over the top when the Bengals are repeating mistakes that they made with Chris Henry who is no longer on the team and with Odell who got suspended for basically 2 years...when is enough...enough? If they want to waste picks on guys like Shirley they might as well packaged it in a deal to move up and get a for sure thing like Ellis...for christ sakes wake up. We bragged all off-season about how we couldn't wait for the draft because of all the picks they would have now we got guys saying "oh they can take a chance on tis guy because he is just a 5th rounder..." Well this team needs 5th rounders that are going to be on the team and not in jail.
membengal Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Remember the character risk that NE took with Merriweather last year? Worked for them. What about the character risk Cleveland took with their second pick last year? So far so good for them. Just because it has been bad luck to date doesn't mean you give up trying for diamonds in the rough as the years go by. You just adjust your risk level. Character risk in the 2nd round? Yeah, that would make be a bit itchy. Character risk in the 5th round? And one contained in a 330-pound 6'5" package with speed and agility? Well then, sign me up. Worth a shot. And that shot is hardly worth the panty-bunching. But, whatevs.
membengal Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Odell. Second round.Henry third round. This guy? Not second round. Not third round.Consider the risk/reward fellas, and unbunch your lingerie.
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2008 Author Report Posted April 27, 2008 Here comes Mike Hart...WHODEY !!!
BTG Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I wouldn't mind Mike Hart. I hate him, but he can play.
Spor_tees Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 My RB pick for this round Thomas Hart to the Falcons...Still available Washington, Temple, and I also like that Patrick kid from Oklahoma
GregCook Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I would expect them to address safety and nickel corner. Possibly a TE project, too.Barrett from A state. Terrell CB from Arkansas.CB's are vaporizing. You mean Terrell from Missouri? Or Grant for Arkansas? Terrell wouldn't be a bad pickup. He's a tall CB who def could play the nickel when needed.whoops, Terrell from Missouri...I second Joshua Barret from A state. What is wrong with that guy? He's a big, fast safety and at this point in the draft its special teams time. Why is this guy still undrafted? Character issues?
DontPushMe Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Come on, Cory Boyd, Allen Patrick, or Chauncey Washington here, take a flyer on a late round RB, theres always 1 or 2 of them
kingwilly Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Odell. Second round.Henry third round. This guy? Not second round. Not third round.Consider the risk/reward fellas, and unbunch your lingerie.Askew fourth roundNicholson fifth roundtotal wastes.I am more than willing to throw a party if this guy grows up...my issue is with the continuing pattern of taking these kind of guys and getting burned.
alleycat Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 am I missing something or is erin henderson still on the board? gotta have parmele, though...
BTG Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 *** damn it Miami.Ok, either Washington or Hart!
derekshank Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 How about Kevin Smith... UCF RB with the next pick.
Spor_tees Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 am I missing something or is erin henderson still on the board? gotta have parmele, though...Yes Erin Henderson is still out there which is sad because he left school early and now he is yet to be drafted
