The lil' fella says he won't sit out this year.

I knew he wouldn't. He caved already. GOOD!

He said he wasn't sitting out weeks ago. Of course, just a few days ago he admitted he had a bad year. Today he said he was mad because people said he didn't have a "Chad Johnson" year And he said he wanted to win. And he said he wanted to play for the Dolphins.

Frankly, I wouldn't pay much attention to what Chad says, since it changes on a daily (if not more often) basis.

ESPN taking head Brian Kenney may have gotten off the line of the day. He said he had spent 9 minutes interviewing Chad for television yesterday, and had him on his radio show today for a full hour. He said they spoke seriously at times, joked some, and even took a number of phone calls. In the end he noted Chad's habit of contradicting himself over and over again and admitted..."I still don't have any idea what he's talking about."

That's OK. It's all Marvin's fault anyway.

I caught this in the Enquirer, surprised it hasn't been addressed to Chad:

" around 2 a.m. Sunday, he and several members of the team were kicked out of a hip downtown nightclub, Bang on Fourth Street, after a police officer on a security detail called for help.

"We got a few Bengals players in here: Chris Henry, Chad Johnson and them," the officer said on his call for backup, citing two of the players he believed he recognized. "They are destroying the ceiling in the back room and they are all highly intoxicated. The bar owners ... want them ejected from the bar, and we are going to try to eject them now. They have been rowdy all night." "

So given that Knucklehead has an alcohol issue, does Chad too? Is he drunk from time to time when he stalks ESPN microphones?

If true, you got to wonder about Chad's role with Knucklehead over the last few days. Did Chad booze it up with Henry in the days leading up to his arrest? What was Chad putting into Knucklehead's weak minded head? It could be that Chad was being a good team mate in escorting the alcoholic Knucklehead to his favorite bars where the hottest local young girls can be found. Then being the good teammate, drives him home to his loving GF with their two infants so they too can enjoy his alcoholic breath at home rather than the drunk lockup in Hamilton county.

Just Chad being Chad.

I think there is some debate as to whether Chad was really there or was the one misidentified by police.

If the off duty cop can't identify Chad, one of the most photographed Bengals, he's somewhat less than Columbo. Chad's features are pretty distinctive. Also, its been my sad experience with the police from Mexico to Ohio, that once they introduce themselves they ask for ID immediately.

Time will tell with this one, and I've never read any story about Chad boozing. Then again Chad has been saying some incoherent stuff of late.

You are more likely to see Chad at McDonald's getting something that causes leg cramps.
