DDOGG
I was leaning towards favorites, but I guess you could name the best movies that are in different types of categories as well.

agreen_112
Rocky will definitely go down in history as one of the greatest films of ALL-time. The movie is perfect IMO... Braveheart is also a really good film... My personal favorite (I have a couple dozen) is probably Castaway. Blow, The Usual Suspects, The Departed, Forrest Gump, The Beach, Lord of War, Mystic River and Pulp Fiction are among my top picks... I also really like Kill Bill, Million Dollar Baby, Memento, Fight Club, Die Hard, Scarface, Hero, LOTR and Star Wars, Training Day, Pirates, From Hell, American Beauty, Road To Perdition, Catch Me If You Can, Gladiator, Donnie Brasco, Goodfellas and Casino. City of God, Amorres Perros, Totsi, and Maria Full of Grace are excellent foreign films that I highly suggest.

COB
It's hard to add to those lists, all good movies. Three that I really like that aren't on there yet are Miller's Crossing, Drugstore Cowboy, and The Thin Red Line. Also, for pure shoot em up, it's tough to beat Magnum Force, the second Dirty Harry movie.
DDOGG
Speaking of the Rambo series, who has seen the latest Rambo? I heard it was pretty good, even though he is what like 60 now?

BengalszoneBilly
Rocky will definitely go down in history as one of the greatest films of ALL-time.That'll happen the same day Jon Kitna goes down as greatest QB of ALL-time. The movie made me laugh all the way through, and it wasn't even a comedy! Stallone movies must be taken with a grain of salt. In the case of Rocky you must swallow the whole bag. I tend to agree more with agreen on this one. At the time the first Rocky came out Stallone was largely an unknown and hadn't yet made a mockery of him self with a string of silly pretentious movies. Don't smear the original because it was followed by largely inferior sequels. And don't forget it did win an Oscar for Best Picture that year. Stallone definitely sucks, but he did make a mockery of himself AFTER Rocky.. Best story, best soundtrack, best setting, best character, best cast, and most of all best ending!... The movie is absolutely PERFECT and will always be remembered as THE best boxing film of all-time. Every man can relate to Rocky... Please watch it again and try to imagine Sly, never starring in Cliff Hanger, lol.

Bengals1
What are your favorite comedies?Dumb and Dumber, Night at the Roxberry, Beverly Hills Ninja, Nutty Professor, Old School, and Billy Madison.I'm in my 40's now and Animal House was "thee" comedy of my generation. I remember seeing it with a buddy and we went right back out and saw it again the very next night 'cause we missed so much dialog laughing at it!Ghost Busters, The 40 Year Old Virgin and MIB also rate high with me as well as Rodney Dangerfield's "Back to School". For more innocent comedy that's not nearly raunchy enough for the under 35 crowd, "Support Your Local Sheriff" with James Garner and Jack Elam and "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" with the late Don Knotts still make me laugh. To this day I still shout out, "Atta' boy Luther!" or "And they used Bon Ami!" when ever I get the chance. BengalszoneBilly
There are just too many good movies to cull the stringer from. But I'll give it a go.Drama: Good Will Hunting/Saving Private Ryan/Scent Of A Woman/Full Metal Jacket.Action: Aliens/Matrix/Lord Of The Rings series of movies. I'm a Sci-Fi buff.Comedy: Let It Ride/What About Bob/Liar-Liar/Super Troopers. (Nobody will probably recognize these first two Richard Dreyfuss films I mentioned, but I loved them.)
