My brother just called me from northern Kentucky after hearing this on the radio/local channel 12 news. Of course I'm stuck out here in Arizona, and can't confirm this. Can someone help a brother out?

Oops. Too preliminary.

The league office has just over-ruled his docs. Sorry, not cleared to play.

Pollack Cleared By His Doctors....

...Pollack has been cleared by his doctors to play again, and Pollack has said that he wants to take a week to pray and fast before making his decision. If we get Pollack back then that would be awesome!!!

This just in, following a week of prayer, God gave Pollack the go-ahead.

Sadly, God was then also over-ruled by the league office.

David Pollack's Weekly Planner

Monday: Today is the first day of the rest of the week. Begin fasting. Put off all stressfull decisions until tommorrow.

Tuesday: Nope, still no sign from god. Check Tivo to see if it recorded "The Sarah Conner Chronicles"

Wednesday: Still fasting. Still no sign from god. Too light-headed from lack of food to make important decisions without help from invisible deity. Must remember to feed fish tomorrow.

Thursday: Too weak to get out of bed....which ironically makes fasting even easier. Praying is more difficult though, as praying while laying down is too much like napping. So sleepy.

Friday: Doctor grants medical clearance to resume football career. Well what does he know? Still fasting. Still praying. It's much too soon to make a decision I've been putting off for more than a year.

Saturday: Wow, all of the fish are dead. I wonder what happened?

Sunday: Good news! A new episode of The Wire is on HBO tonight. Must remember to feed cat. Still no word from god, but that's okay because I've forgotten why I was praying.

To be continued.....

According to broadcast reports, David Pollack has met with his specialist in Los Angeles and apparently has been cleared to play. But that doesn't mean he's going to.

After returning from California last week, those close to Pollack say he's going to spend a couple of weeks fasting and praying before he announces his decision at a Paul Brown Stadium news conference.

Well, to be fair, Hobson's article is an almost word for word repeat of a story that was first broadcast on local Cincy television and then hit the internet five freaking days ago.

BTW, the only thing Hobson added is the nugget about Pollack delaying his decision "a couple of weeks".

I think it would be great to see Pollack come back to the Bengals and have a stellar season and go on to great things with the Bengals. I just don't see that being the case and would just as soon see him pack it in and not take the risk that goes along with coming back to football after breaking your freaking neck !!!

WHODEY !!!
