Bengals1
From the dotcom:Just how many more hits can the Bengals take at linebacker? Both middle linebackers, Ahmad Brooks (groin) and Caleb Miller (back) were downgraded to doubtful Friday for Monday night's game against the Patriots and leaves the Bengals with four healthy linebackers against the Patriots juggernaut. And three of them—Dhani Jones, Anthony Schlegel, and Lemar Marshall—weren't here for training camp. Schlegel could start in the middle, but so could Marshall if he moves from the strong side and Jones moves into the strong during his second week as a Bengal. Defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan has said he won't move Landon Johnson from the weak side. So we're most likely looking at the eighth different starting middle linebacker in the Marvin Lewis era. Also, right tackle Willie Anderson (foot) and wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh (knee) didn't practice Friday but are probable. Left guard Stacy Andrews (shoulder) is questionable after a limited practice. Speculation that kicker Shayne Graham (hip) isn't totally healed flies again with his limited work Friday, although he is probable. So is Justin Smith (foot), added to the report Friday after his limited work. The seven previous starting middle backers? Miller, Johnson, Brooks, Brian Simmons, Odell Thurman, Nate Webster and Kevin Hardy. Also, in New England quarterback Tom Brady was limited for a second straight day as he rested his shoulder. ShulaSteakhouse
No one's blaming Marvin for this situation. I think a corps of Pollack, Brooks, Jeanty and LJ would be pretty impressive with lots of upside. Throw Henderson and Fanene in the mix as situational pass rushers who give Smith and Geathers a rest (if they would actually do that) and you have an interesting bunch, but Fanene can't stay healthy. Too many on this team like that, not sure what they do differently going forward. No doubt the Jeanty/Brooks injuries have hurt the last two weeks, and will this week. Lonnie Wheeler sums up why they are in such a bind right now ultimately:Lonnie Wheeler, The PostThey miss a lot of people. They miss their second, third and fourth draft choices from 2003. Eric Steinbach is in Cleveland, Kelley Washington is in New England, Dennis Weathersby is out of the game. They miss their first and second draft choices from 2004. Chris Perry is hurt again. Keiwan Ratliff was released this week. They miss their first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth draft choices from 2005. David Pollack had the neck injury. Odell Thurman is on his second year of suspension. Henry is unavailable for five more games. Eric Ghiaciuc has a chance to return to the lineup this week. Adam Kieft doesn't. Neither does Tab Perry. They miss their second draft choice from this year. Kenny Irons is on crutches.Ouch.
BengalszoneBilly
No one's blaming Marvin for this situation.Of course not. The team towel boy is much more culpable here. Shula! How DARE you let someone within' management off the hook! Until the Bengals exchange places with the Patriots in this kingdom known as the NFL, there will be no mercy shown upon these individuals. Their job is to win games, and bottom line is THEY HAVE FAILED! I frankly have zero tolerance for that at this point, and I'm tired of hearing excuses. Stripes
That may be the worst LB trio in NFL history. Thank God for Landon Johnson (wasn't he the guy always getting up limp after a tackle?!).

Yes, those are images done for me by a friend of ours who's a graphic artist. He wanted to get into the pin-up world and also show clients he could do liknesses and since my wife has done some modeling he used her as the base for them. I told him to do something I could use on boards as sig pics and that's the result. Glad you like 'em.
teenbengal14
Miller is awful, so id rather have nobody out there than him, but we desperately need Ahmad.. Our defense is bad but without him we are god-awful..

Bengals1
Any update on Brooks today? I hope he can go...Here's the latest injury update from this afternoon (Monday):Both starting running backs didn't dress for Monday night's game between the Bengals and Patriots with New England putting down Laurence Maroney and Cincinnati icing Rudi Johnson. The Bengals also deactivated middle linebackers Ahmad Brooks and Caleb Miller. Anthony Schlegel, a second-year player with the club for a month, became the Bengals' eighth starting middle linebacker under head coach Marvin Lewis. Andrew Whitworth got the start at left guard for the Bengals, giving Levi Jones his first start of the season at left tackle. Alex Stepanovich made his third straight start in place of Eric Ghiaciuc at center, but Ghiaciuc was active.
