deadone
From a Ravens Fan: If you are able to force turnovers like you did against us, the Pats can be beat. They are very good, but not 30 points better than every team like they have been these first three games. If you were at New England, I would say your chances would be very slim. Your home at one of the louder stadiums and that breathes life into your chances. Good luck. ShulaSteakhouse
I'm just glad Moss and Welker are on my fantasy team. Hell I'll probably start both of them this week.
DC_Bengals_Fan
Early lines: 7 to 7.5 point home dogs. That's a lot of points to be taking at home.
Jet23
Early lines: 7 to 7.5 point home dogs. That's a lot of points to be taking at home.I figured they would be at least a td home dog. I will be there yelling my head off, but I just don't see it happening at this point in the year. I think they will put up a fight, but my fear is that they come away from this game even more banged up than they are already. That is scary.Stranger things have happened and I am getting increasingly pumped for the game. I hope that everyone on earth predicts a Patriot blowout, so perhaps they won't see it coming. I won't be betting the farm though.
James_Brooks21
Early lines: 7 to 7.5 point home dogs. That's a lot of points to be taking at home.Exactly and they give you three points for being at home. Special teams is killing the Bengals, just like they did at the end of the season. If somebody wanted to emphasize that special teams wins the game they can basically point to the last five games the Bengals have played, special teams have had a huge impact in each game. Can't kick the ball into the endzone, can't tackle, don't have a real chance at returning one the list goes on. The Bengals are in bad shape right now, 6-10 in their last 16 games great job over there Marvin.
cincyhokie
I don't expect much from the defense in this game, but I doubt the offense will struggle to run the ball quite as much (barring a lengthy injury to Rudi) as they did in Seattle.I dunno. New England has the leagues #1 rated defense, which isn't too surprising. It matches their leagues #1 rated offense quite nicely. They possess the perfect team balance I've been yammering about for years, but hey... that's what good coaching does for an organization. The Patriots have it in spades. The Bengals are trying to play the same game, but unfortunately it comes out looking as though they're playing "Go Fish" in comparison.IMHO the whole New England organization is committed to success in every aspect. From the owner on down. Sadly I cannot say the same about the Bengals. Especially from the owner. Mike Brown is an embarrassment, and it shows in the people working for him. I'm still not convinced he's rid himself of what traits drug us through the dark years of the 90's. My biggest fear? I can actually see the same kind of darkness approaching again. ~End Of Rant~I wouldn't call me a "sooth sayer". I didn't say we don't have glaring problems or that we're the better team. I just said I think we're going to win. I thought we would beat Cleveland but lose to Seattle. My whole point is we're not as bad as our record and NE is not as good. We're playing at home which we CAN make an advantage. If we win our season has new life. If we lose what will it matter? Most people have already written off the game as a loss anyway.Ehhh, my bad I responded to completely wrong post......

DesperateDerelict
Pats by 30.Everybody seems to point to the DB's for their inability to cover, the linebacker (i.e. MASH unit), and turnovers - but our biggest problem this year is giving millions of dollars to 2 defensive ends that have the sum total of 1 sack, 0 hurries, and 1 knockdown in 3 games. New England has the best pass-blocking OL in the AFC, and Justin Smith & Jumpy Geathers are sucking big time right now. These clowns aren't demanding double coverage - they are being man-handled one on one. They aren't winning 1 out of 7 or 1 out of 8 - they're being dominated. If we need to blitz 2 or more LB's & DB's to get a modicum of pressure, Brady will carve us up. We need to lose Jay Hayes (worst position coach in NFL), and challenge these guys - or get a couple of high school players in there.I am fed up with Smith & Geathers - even the DT's are out-playing them. volcom69
Ive been sayin that Geathers and Smith dont deserve that kind of money they get yea geathers had a big year last year but i think alot of those were coverage sacks and smith i like the guys attitude and the way he motors and dosnt quite, but his pass rushing skills suck, and this def will continue to suck unless the pressure is there which it wont be in this game either. WhoDey93285
Bad news: Bengals get killed.Good news: Tom Brady is my fantasy quarterback. It's usually my rule not to start anyone playing the Bengals, but I don't expect us to be competitive in this game, so I don't see the harm. damiancasey
Well - let's put it this way...if you had to put your life savings on a team this monday - would it be the Bengals? damiancasey
We're done - this season is over. Based on who we have now we have at least two seasons of rebuilding ahead of us.

Now, if someone was holding a gun to my head and told me to bet on a game, it would not be on the Pats/Bengals game for either team. That doesn't mean that I think they're going to lose. BengalszoneBilly
Bengalszone Billy once you are a Marine you are always a Marine buddy change that from former Marine.I didn't say "Ex" Marine. Just fomer, as in former active duty. That's all. Semper Fi. ***FYI*** Semper Fi (The Marine Corps Motto) means "Always Faithful" which I will always be to the Bengals. No matter how negative about them my posts may seem. I only berate them now because I want them to improve and succeed. Nothing more. It's just the Marine way you maggots! My point is that everyone is giving way way too much credit to the Patriots for destroying the mighty Jets, Bills, and the struggling Chargers. The Bengals have a much better shot at beating the Patriots than people are giving them. Problem is that from what I've seen from both of these two teams this year, I honestly don't see that (meaning the Bengals playing well) happening. I really hope I'm wrong.
