Sportsdoc
Kenny Watson only looked a million times better than Rudi..... Rudi seems to have lost both vision and speed.......................Perhaps his hamstring tear is a blessing.

Just keep in mind that it was only one game.
Kazkal
Meh,Kenny would running the ball more often alrdy if he could handle the load as a full time back.Rudi had a bad game but he wasn't getting alot of help early.

What season have you been watching?Banged up Tackles Banged up Center vs a good defense,Is Shaun Alexander a crappy RB for not racking up yards vs us ?Unlike us atm the Seahawks have down right studs in their LB corps.I'd kill to have peterson and Tapatau or what ever his name is starting for us. DC_Bengals_Fan
Rudi hasn't hit a hole all year. What season have you been watching?Rudi hasn't *had* a hole all year. If there's a point to be made here, it's that our banged-up O-line can't support a between-the-tackles runner right now.
Kazkal
I was happy to see Levi back in the with Whitworth @ Guard and willie on the right....I can't stand kooistra on the field anymore you think with his mug he'd be scaring people away. HoTbOy
If we had someone who could run the ball with some urgency, RJohnson would have been on the bench for me...I just get tired of seeing him tip toe through the line and running half heartedly...He seems to only find a hole that Stevie Wonder can see anything smaller and he is running up your back...Yeah he had a good game against the Browns but when did they become a defensive powerhouse??? KWatson did seem to run harder and run with patience when needed...I welcome the change at RB...
CJBestInAFC
Rudi hasn't hit a hole all year. What season have you been watching?Rudi hasn't *had* a hole all year. If there's a point to be made here, it's that our banged-up O-line can't support a between-the-tackles runner right now.Now that is bs. Rudi can't get yards because he doesn't have the speed to get to the outside like Watson can. Rudi also dances a lot in the backfield when he should just run up field and try to get as many of yards as he can. 17 chances and only 9 yards for Rudi. I think it might be time to let the guy go after the season. Rudi is holding the offense back because of his lack of speed and his decision making. He doesn't hit hole hard and he kind of dances his way to the hole. Watson toward the end of the game was a breath of fresh air. I honetly hope Rudi is hurt for a while, so the Bengals can get more speed in the backfield. I thought the D played a good game except for the final drive where they scored. JJ got beat a lot today. HoosierCat
I have to agree that Rudi has not been impressive this year, and it's not (all) the o-line's fault.Lapham passed a comment in a recent Lance interview that since Rudi's lost weight he's gotten it into his head that he's a nimble speed back, an idea Lap proceeded to mock.More Jeremi Johnson and Kenny Watson. Less Rudi.
BengalszoneBilly
More Jeremi Johnson and Kenny Watson. Less Rudi.In other words, mix it up? I'll go with that.

JoePong
Good RBs make plays. When is the last time anyone can remember ever saying, "Wow, that was a really good play by Rudi!" Everything he gets is due to good plays by other people, such as the offensive line. The fact is, there is not as single aspect of Rudi's game that is above mediocre. He is the definition of medicore. Defenses do not have to account for him, and that puts a ton of pressure on our passing game, and Carson Palmer in particular.

WhoDey93285
I said this off-season that if Rudi ever lost just half a step he was done - It looks like that time has come. I love Rudi, but the guy's carried about 10 seasons worth of carries the past three years. Maybe that has taken a toll on him. It's had to do something. All in all, he's just not the same. Granted, the O-Line isn't giving him any holes, but Rudi doesn't have speed to get to the outside and turn the corner, and he just isn't hitting the hole as hard as he used to. Rudi might be on his last legs.

I hope to see Rudi in Bengal stripes for at least a couple more years.

agreen_112
Rudi doesn't have a hole, the O-line wasn't getting any push until they moved Wit to guard and brought in Levi at tackle, they way it should be! Did anyone notice Rudi jump up at one point when he was tackled at the line of schrimage and screem at the coaches on the sideline? Wonder what he said?FWIW, Rudi has been replaced by Irons on my Madden Franchise.
