Dadraftnick
I have kept my mouth shut about Leon Hall since the draft, I hated the pick.If you saw him at Michigan he was abused by Ginn as well a few other WR's besides, I thought Arron Ross was a the best CB in the draft. In pre-season he blew one coverage after another. For what ever reason (mostly because we blitzed them nearly every play) Baltimore did not test him too much.Cleveland exposed him as the weak spot of the defense that he is.If he keeps this kind of play up we will have to call him Super Toast so, we dont insult Rod Jones (a.k.a toast). We need to start thinking about back up Tory James. bengalboomer7
He's a rookie corner in right now his third game as a pro. You may eventually be right and maybe not, but you can't say anything just yet.

Pointing fingers at one player isn't going to do anything. He's a rookie, CB's get beat all the time.......get over it....he's on the team and he's not going anywhere. Sportsdoc
Yes, he reminds people of Rod Jones. Except Rod Jones had pure speed, just could not cut. Remember Rod Jones ran down Bo Jackson and dislocated his hip.Hall has no speed, plays way off and makes mistakes.

HoTbOy
Yeah I hear what you are saying about LHall and I have to give him a pass also, even if he gets burned alot only because he is a rookie...Maybe he is not ready for the nickel spot, but KRatliff didn't do any better last year so I guess we are just stuck with LHall until he starts getting it right... We are stuck with a bad defense. If the squad was anything close to adequate, Cincinnati would be sitting 2-1 at worst.

HoosierCat
Today Hall was Hall...either good or bad, no in between. Nothing you don't expect from a rook -- something I've been saying (to apparently deaf ears) for months.I was more p*ssed about JJoe looking slow and stupid getting burned for the TD. WhoDey93285
What made me dislike the Hall pick a lot was the fact that Dwayne Jarret made Leon Hall look like a damn fool in the Rose Bowl. And the knock on Jarret? Speed. They said he's too slow, yet Hall made him look like an Olympic sprinter. So I didn't like the pick, but I gave him a chance. Maybe he'll turn out to be a great corner. Not a good start, but he gets a pass this year just because he is a rookie, but I just want to say I didn't particularly like the pick in the first place. Definately wasn't his fault for the loss today, though. The whole team bent over and took it today.
TJJackson
The two players who seem really, really off to me are JJoe and MadieuSure, Madieu had a pick today - a really easy one, mind you - I'm talking overall. I was hoping this'd be the year he really came back from his injury, but no.......JJoe was borderline fantastic for a rookie last year, particularly in the New Orleans game, but he's looked just awful for two weeks now. Yeah, I know, he's probably not at 100% yet and has had to play.

Seems like JJoe has been getting lit up the past couple weeks, which is something that players of his caliber simply can't continue to let happen. But, keep in mind that the really easy pick Madieu got was because of fantastic coverage by JJ. He had the receiver blanketed and in great position to make a play on the ball. In fact, it looked like HE had the interception for a split second before it took an unusual bounce right into the air and then into the hands of Madieu. agreen_112
Jj and Hall are the weakest parts of this defense Dude, HALL IS A ROOKIE. DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE JJOSEPH LIMPING? HE'S NOT 100%. Would you rather have Tory back or how about Ratliff? JJ and Hall are fine, they're about the only guys that I'm not really worried about... Why Madieu williams gets off the hook is just mind bogiling. This guy absolutely can not cover the top. We were in cover two man on the last TD pass and it was to Madieu's side. He was out in no man's land and didnt' even get a finger on the WR. As a matter of fact, there was NO reciever on the his side of the field, NO ONE but the guy who caught the TD pass. It was like Madieu had his eyes on the QB the whole time and didn't even look at the reciever until he seen the ball coming his way. No excuse for that terrible coverage. If he were a good safety, he should've been there to put a hit on that man! Why does everyone think Madieu is so special?
HoTbOy
The Safety play has not been special at all and MWilliams does need to take some blame...I didn't understand why JJoseph let the WR go when there was no one else in his area, why didn't he just stay with him and MWilliams should have seen the 1 on 1 matchup and been the for the CB...I thought MWilliams would have been to a PB by now, especially after his 1st season... It was a cover 2 play. Joseph stays up to cover the flat and the safety covers deep. It would've worked fine if Williams did what he was supposed to.
