This game is pivotal to Chuck.I'm afraid to even think what kind of crap game plan this idiot will spring on us today. In the past 3 road games the Bengals defense has given up 36 points on AVERAGE! I'm sorry folks but that is inexcusable.

Stripes
And yet there are people on this board that dont think it is all his fault. And I think claims that it is all his fault are beyond stupid. He deserves as much blame as the players for the consistent struggles, but it's the nature of a fanbase to shove it's collective index finger towards the coaching. HoosierCat
My question is, exactly who is Bresh going to put on the field today. I'm watching the Lions and Eagles and clearly we loaned our D to Detroit this week...

Can't pin this one on the defense. They made some mistakes, but with our situation at LB, I actually thought they held out fairly well. Not great, but it should have been enough... Defense played well enough to win this one. ST needs a lot of work. Opie is trying to do too much to compensate for a horrible coverage team. Did they hold the lead with the game on the line? No. Bottom line? They didn't do their job when it most mattered. The offense can't win every game for crissakes. HoTbOy
I still blame the D they should be able to stop people sometime, as explosive as our O is people seem to find a way to stop us...HOLD A LEAD SOMETIME...
Player4
Based on the showing against the Clowns many of us thought that the Seattle offense would shred the D all day. They didn't. Half as many points to an offense much better than the Clowns. Even based upon what we gave up to the Ravens, you'd have thought the Seahags would put up at least 34 or so.Really, when you put our craptastic D in perspective I'd say they exceeded MY expectations. The freaking backbreaker today was special teams. Three major special teams blunders today. Take away any one of the three and the Bengals put up a W on the road against one of the better teams in the NFC. Player4
Come on. The D scored 2 of our points. The D held the Hags to 24. Are you honestly telling me you expected the Hags to score less than 24 and for the D to score more than 2?

And there were a couple other bombs Hasselbeck laid on open receivers who dropped balls they ought to have caught. Bengals D got a lot of help today...and still couldn't close the deal. Not that that absolves the O or STs...like I said elsewhere, a team loss.

Stripes
This was definitely a team loss. I don't think the defense had anymore lapses than the offense or special teams. The offense turned the ball over three times and it was the kick return team that lost the game in the clutch more than the defense.
