JoePong
We locked up all our young offensive players a few years back, now it's let's look at the D. We already got Geathers locked up. Joseph and Hall will be around a while, and hopefully Peko and Ahmad Brooks. Now it's time to sign Landon Johnson and Madieu Williams along with Justin Smith of course. LJ and Madieu look like they are over their injuries and picking up where they left off as promising rookies. I admit I was down on both of them, but I think they are proving me wrong. Not to mention Stacy Andrews on the O-Line.That's four key guys who will be free agents-I guess that's why we don't go after guys like Adalius Thomas. mgi
How about we first see if Madieu Williams can stay healthy. Afterall, if he can't, he'll be cheaper.
HoosierCat
Unlikely to happen at this point, since the Bengals only have a little more than $2 million in cap space.
ShulaSteakhouse
Justin Smith does not need to be re-signed - $8+ mil on a 6.5 sack guy - who's #'s will drop-off when the LB's do their jobs? No thanks. Sign a DT and keep developing Fanene and Rucker, and hope Henderson comes back and stays healthy. Use that dough on a LB or Safety.Stacey Andrews? Why does anyone think the o-line played well last night?Too much $ tied up in Bobbie Williams, Levi and Willie already - draft a guard or Center on day one, draft two of them.Regardless of opinions, I think the Bengals' financial philosophy will fall in-line with what I am saying above any ways.Just my two cents, see if some of you boys can take an opinion in, without resorting to childish insults for once, since i'm not boning up every player like they're HOF'ers. I would agree with most of this. No need to go on a spending spree just yet. And no, Andrews has yet to blow me away as well. That said, I think the OL had a great first half and a poor second half. You could see the obvious changes the Ravens made at the half take effect early in the 2nd.
HairOnFire
Uhhhh, we're one week into the new season. Do you guys like the offseason so much? And if you say yes....what's next, a mock draft?

BengalszoneBilly
And if you say yes....what's next, a mock draft?Dude, don't tempt them. Sometimes I think a lot of folks like predicting the draft more than watching the regular season!
