walzav29
Kooistra is no Willie. That was the worse possible scenario, to have Willie, Levi, and Ghiucec out for a series or two. I'm hoping that Willie can get that foot healed, but like Ogden last night. Feet on these big guys are touchy. I don't know if Kooistra can cut it. They couldn't give Rudi an inch. Make no mistake though, the Ravens defense is tough. I was worried about the linebackers and secondary. They shut me up. Hopefully with experience they get better. That was the 1st time I can remember attacking. I hope there is no after Monday let down. 2-0 would be sweet.

I understand the whole drama with Levi but I thought for sure that he'd play. What's up with that? I think Whitworth may be better honestly, but Levi and Whitworth on the left is even better. walzav29
I like Whitworth more than Andrews. The perfect combo is Levi, Whitworth, Ghuicec, Williams, Anderson.
agreen_112
Does anyone know why Levi didn't play?
TJJackson
According to the official stats, Levi was one of two players (the other was Fanene) who did not play a single downhttp://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/2...IN_Gamebook.pdfAll other players played
ShulaSteakhouse
Who knows, but if Willie is out for who knows how long, they need to get Whitworth over to RT and put Levi in his spot. The run blocking at times last night was embarrassingly bad, I don't care if it was the Ravens.
HoosierCat
Yeah, we had no ground game last night. OTOH no matter what combo was in Carson mostly had good protection.
princeton
OTOH no matter what combo was in Carson mostly had good protection.we weren't calling plays as though we were expecting good protection. Lots of quick drops/short tosses to TJ-- who took a lot of head shots. He's a tough one.
TJJackson
Thats in no small part because he was getting the ball out quickly, on short patterns, which in turn as because he feared for his pass protection a bit with Kooistra and Whitworth at the tackle spots.Whitworth looked overmatched a lot. Kooistra seems to hold his own.
walzav29
Kooistra doesn't seem to get any push in the running game.
HoosierCat
we weren't calling plays as though we were expecting good protection.Agreed. Especially early on Carson seemed to be rushing things and as a result his throws were off just enough to go incomplete. I said in the game thread that he seemed too amped up, but maybe it was a lack of confidence in the line as well.

HairOnFire
I don't get a vote but I'd be very tempted to sit Levi against the Browns. Peek played very well against the Steelers but he's not in the same class as Suggs and Freeny, the only DE's who have consitently given Whitworth trouble. More important, I'm not convinced that Levi can step right in and play within the unit as well as Whitworth is doing. Plus, the extra time to heal should also help Levi.
