Bengals make more moves

Recommended Posts

So what happened to Matt Muncy?

I'm disappointed to see him go.......

Looks like they want to spend the PS slot on Santucci. But I'll bet you a dozen donuts that if Muncy still wants to play he'll be back on the squad next offseason. And Wright's on IR...we'll get a Bobcat on this squad yet...

Too bad for Muncy. Seems like he could be a good special teamer in time. Hopefully he'll stay in shape and maybe he will get called back as moves are made later this season.

Just read that the Bengals gave a work out to Jordan Beck, Tim Massiquai, and former Buckeye Josh Huston.

All of three of these guys are good players who could make our roster better. Beck is a good athlete who could really be a find for this club. The former Michigan TE is a pass receiving threat that could make a good combo for the future with Coates.

All in all I think signing Beck would be a good move, let Eddie Hartwell take some time to get right, have him come back next year when he's 110% healthy.

I know these guys are all lower tier players but I will give the Bengals credit about not resting with their roster. That used to drive me nuts when Davey and Bruce were HC's. The roster was pretty much set from day one and not much changed after that.

Excatly they are still trying to create competition at every spot making sure that the lowest guy on the depth chart can actually step in and contribute if need be.

This is what most people that bash Marvin seem to forget the most. He's improved this team 110%. Is there still room for more improvement? Definitely, but I still trust in Marv!

Looks like Santucci is a goner. They filled the last PS spot with this guy today:

PRACTICE SQUAD SIGNING: The Bengals on Wednesday signed rookie center Kyle Cook to the practice squad. Cook (6-3, 295; Michigan State) opened the preseason as a college free agent signee with Minnesota. He played in all four Vikings preseason games, and was waived on Sept. 1
