bengalboomer7 Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I just don't see any advantage on Levi's behalf to say this. He already got his new deal just lately, he should already know where he stands. They must of not had enough donuts in the cafeteria Quote
agreen_112 Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 apology accepted, now lets get ready to play some football Levi!http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6245 Quote
Kazkal Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Vets hate training camp. When they leverage their injuries to skip camp, why do they expect management to stand up and applaud? I laughed when Willie described the mystery procedure he had done on his ankle, just in time to miss most of camp. It was non-invasive and had a 50% chance of working! Levi wants to play so much, they played him. Where's the complaint?Willie is a 12 year vet though and I really don't think it's frowned upon since most top tier linemen who have 10+ years miss training camp and then come right back in time to play for regular season. Kazkal Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I wouldn't say marvin was trying to humiliate levi by making him play 3rd & 4th qrters but just to actually try and get him some reps before the season started he did miss most of last season...if it was his 10th year I think it would be more understandable but he's still a young guy. COB Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Yup, Levi looking at it one way, Marvin looking at it another way. Quote
rwalling Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Seems to me like ML pretty much is calling Levi out for malingering that particular knee issue beyond reason.Fine by me. That's straight from Parcells' playbook.Cranky Levi = Angry Levi = Motivated Levi = Healthy Carson = Happy Bengals Fans!!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 All players should be at camp regardless of how big they are. Now, how many reps they are given and how hard the coaches push them is another story best left to the coaching staff. Bottom line is these guys are getting paid a ton of money (See 40 million as a ton) and for them to whine, especially when injured is just not even fathomable to me. It just does not compute... Glad to see things going in the right direction though !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
