generaldreedle
Does anyone know when Goodell is going to rule on Thurman's appeal? I know it will probably get rejected, but I am just curious as to why he is waiting soo long to make his decision.
combatbengal
I ddin't know that he requested a relook. That would be huge if we got him back! If not, it would be nice to know why it was denied.

I'm just hoping at this point that maybe he has a future in the NFL, Goodell more or less killed that man career by suspending him an additional year. If Michael Vick only gets a year suspension for what he did and Odell gets two years then that's total bs. I'm not counting this year as a suspension year either since he is waiting for senticing on something he testified that he was guilty of. I still can't get over that Jared Allen only got what he got for two DUI's that total bs.

Expect total and absolute bulls**t. It's all about $$$ for these worms, and that's what Vick means to the league. Bottom line. Vicks punishent most likely WILL NOT fit the crime. I still can't get over that Jared Allen only got what he got for two DUI's that total bs.Vick will miss 2007 due to NFL suspension, 2008 (and possibly 2009) due to jail, and possibly another year to the NFL. When it's all done, I'd say Vick will lose 3-4 years to the whole thing, at which point he'll emerge age 30 or 31 as a career 75 passer rating QB who *used* to be able to run a 4.3 40YD. He's done.Thurman will lose 2 total years. He would have gotten in this year, I think, had he not missed a probation hearing right before his reinstatement hearing, which is dumb beyond belief. I think the NFL will let Thurman in if he could just stop...screwing...up.As for Jared Allen, it's technically different. Recall that Odell got his year suspension for what was his 3rd or 4th offense - the missed test - and got the second year because he screwed up while suspended. Don't know if Allen's in the program or not for the 2 DUIs, but if he is and he missed a test, then I'd definitely expect him to get suspended a year. Now if you want to talk about a screw job, how about Porter not getting suspended for assault?
