Short of finding a Bengals player in a hotel room with a bowl of coke and three 14-year-olds, we get a free pass this year.Edit: does anyone know where Chris Henry is? Quote

And you're right, Bailey's the only one who deserves the name. I think the best corner of the last decade. How dumb does Washington look now, huh? Quote

How dumb does Washington look now, huh?You think that Washington got a bad deal with the Portis-for-Bailey trade? Look what they got for the best cornerback of the last decade--a custome-wearing, dogfighting defending, 4.0 ypc, injury-prone RB who is at least the second best RB on his team. And you think that Washington looks dumb because of that trade. The truth is that no team has made dumber front office moves in the last five years than the Redskins. Not even the Lions. Quote

The Redskins made the deal because they claimed no CB was worth what Bailey was demanding. Debate that all you want, but I think there's something very rich about the Redskins refusing to pay a star player his fair market price. Quote

Debate that all you want, but I think there's something very rich about the Redskins refusing to pay a star player his fair market price. My favorite part is reminding all the Redskins fans. Almost makes up for how they actually thought their team was better than the Bengals in '05 because they won a playoff game against TB in the putrid NFC.You could list sooo many dumb things about that trade:1) lockdown CBs are the third most valuable position on a team, after QB and LT2) Running backs have very short careers.3) Running backs are a dime a dozen right now.4) He was coming from *Denver*.5) Not much of a pass catcher Quote
Kazkal Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 1) lockdown CBs are the third most valuable position on a team, after QB and LTI'd almost wanna rank it above LT simply because there is only 1 lockdown CB in the nfl right now. Quote
Stripes Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 I'd rather have a top DT than a top CB. I can certainly understand why some would disagree though, especially in the Bengals fanbase! Quote
Kazkal Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 I'd love to have top DT but over champ it would be hard, now if it came between shawn rodgers and "cough Oneal" rodgers any day of the week . Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 1, 2007 Author Report Posted September 1, 2007 I'd love to have top DTI understand Kimo is available... Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 I'd love to have top DTI understand Kimo is available... To quote the man, that ship has sailed. BTW, I'd say so far Mike Myers has been outstanding. Very active, suprisingly quick, and still capable of making plays. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 1, 2007 Author Report Posted September 1, 2007 Yeah, Myers has been a pleasant surprise. Really, the whole d-line has looked much better all preseason. We'll see if it carries over. Quote
