Starting to see some real moves towards improving overall team charact

The draft was all about high character guys, with almost every selection beign a guy noted for top intangibles, and the others with no real marks on them characterwise. Marvin White had an assault charge, but that was due to him defending his mother from his alcoholic father, or in other words, really and truly HIGH character.

Today, hidden at the bottom of article (http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6024) about the UDCFAs signed and an update on Eric Henderson, is the following line

Also Wednesday, the Bengals waived rookie linebacker Jason Berryman of Iowa State.

Isn't this the ex-con we signed the same day Marvin publicly announced the team would focus on character?

Seems like this issue is getting action now, as opposed to the lip service it was given earlier this year

I invite comment....including any thoughts on the effect if any this might have on Mr Thurman and Mr Henry.

I'm looking forward to McNeal getting cut. That's a big and easy step towards it right there.

When I turn on a game, I don't really care to see a bunch of boy scouts hit each other. Nor do I want to see a game of felons, ex-cons and drug dealers go at it. Something in between is fine. Henry and Odell are on long term holiday, I hope all the rest play better and get a few more wins.

Yeah. Obeying the law has nothing to do with your ability to beat the hell out of someone on the field. Neither does a willingness to drive drunk and have relations with teenage hookers.

Incorrect......for or the simple reason that in order to "beat the hell out of someone on the field" one has to be "on the field" and if one is suspended, one cannot be "on the field"

When Mike Brown's wallet size is threatened - he takes action.

So Mike Brown & I do have something in common. Nice to see.

Just today I found out my son was using a doctor not on my insurance plan. I took action when my wallet got walloped.
