kayaker0678 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Isnt it sweet that we Traded Dillon to the Pats for Madieu Williams (2nd Round Pick) i just remember that and it made me smile we got rid of a piece of crap for a future pro bowler Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I dont think Madieu will be a pro bowler if he plays like he played last year. Plus I believe Dillion won a Super Bowl...If i am not mistaken Quote
mgilgris Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 regardless we are in a better position with Madieu now than we would be with dillion Quote

I sure hope Madieu comes back to what we feel he can be this year. Regardless he's obviously one of the strongest links in our otherwise weak defense. Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Doesn't matter, Dillon wanted out, Bengals' had no choice.Would've happened regardless. The Pats must've been terrible if they're signing old washed up players like Dillon. Oh, they won a SB with him? Playoff run again last year? They didn't have a hot practice squad player they could just put in there? Isn't that how the Bengals' go to the playoffs every year? Quote
Stripes Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 They didn't have a hot practice squad player they could just put in there? Isn't that how the Bengals' go to the playoffs every year? When have the Bengals done that recently (under Marvin)? Quote
membengal Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Shula, Dillon was neither old nor washed up when NE got him. But he could see old and washed up from where he was at... Quote

Had a down year last year to me, great interception in New Orleans but man that stiff arm he took by Maroney was just nasty. Quote

Had a down year last year to me, great interception in New Orleans but man that stiff arm he took by Maroney was just nasty. We need much more physical play by our safeties, period. You mentioned the ugliest play by Madieu, but he just wasn't tough last year. Could be the shoulder, but he needs to bring it. Dexter is smart but not tough enough, I think, especially the way he couldn't bring down Turdburger on that S blitz. Now if only we had drafted a mean-assed safety prospect, maybe around the 4th round....oh wait, we did. J24 Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 i thought Madieu had a good year last year guess I am the only one it is a shame when your fans can only remember one play. Quote
Stripes Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 I wouldn't call Madieu's 2006 campaign good or bad. He was inconsistent (mostly due in part to him being hesitant with his injured shoulder I think), but he was by no means a weak link. His worst game was probably against San Diego, when he was really bad, but otherwise he looked fine. If he can stay healthy this season I figure he'll be back to form. Quote
