I don`t know where he is slotted to go but he sounds like a solid draft pick. I just hope we could pick him up or another RB like him in the late rounds. Gotta go defense in 1, 2, and 4.

Yeah I just don't see a 230 pound RB who runs a 4.4 with his pedigree and performance in the Championship game, and potential, dropping too far though...at least to the 4th round.

So I'm "guessing" they'd have to use their 2nd rounder on him.

I could be wrong.

Agreed, and for that reason I hope the Bengals look elsewhere for RB help. I think this draft is pretty deep in small, quick backs, and one of worthy skills can be had on the second day.

Any word on backs coming out of Louisville? It seemed like they had a stable of RBs that can play at the next level. I thought maybe one would come up as a college free agent.

Good news in my book - would make a good Perry replacement and Rudi backup potentially. 2nd round?

Story

Unless they really are ready to cut ties with C. Perry, I think all the murmurs about anything but a late-round RB are just smoke. There's just no roster space for another back.

Kolby Smith could be there in round 6
