Stripes
I think that means goodbye to KellyI'd think that increases the probability that Kelly is re-signed. The only other FA TE's of note (if Graham has really been signed) are Eric Johnson, Jerramy Stevens, and Kyle Brady.I hope the Bengals just try to keep him. I think he's right.
HoosierCat
PFT now says ESPN radio was wrong:POSTED 2:24 p.m. EST, March 2, 2007REPORTS OF GRAHAM DEAL NOT TRUEJohn Crowe of WSKO radio tells us that he has spoken to Jack Mills, the agent for tight end Daniel Graham, and that Mills says that no deal has been reached between the Broncos and Graham.Mills will appear on WSKO at 3:30 p.m. EST to address the situation. The spot can be heard right here. And, on further review of our e-mailbox, we discovered a message from agent Tom Mills, who writes of Graham: "He has not agreed to terms with Denver or anyone. Don't know where that rumor started, but it's completely inaccurate. Dan will visit with the Broncos later today, but we haven't discussed contract and Dan is planning to take a trip to Oakland tomorrow and Seattle after that."Of course no mention of Cincy on the flight plan... Stripes
I was surprised that he was off the board so quickly, but I suppose that explains why.
HairOnFire
Of course no mention of Cincy on the flight plan... Why would you expect anything different? The Bengals have openly said that re-signing Kelly and Stewart is their first choice so chasing Graham is an idea that certain fans have gotten themselves in a lather over without help from the Bengals. I think what people fail to realize is this is not a Fantasy Football League. There are more factors to look at than simple production and name recognition. ShulaSteakhouse
Yeah who needs the best, most complete TE on the market while our current "blocking only" TE is flying out to talk with another team, and the Bengals, per the norm, don't even have a visit lined up with anybody.Maybe they'll get Doug Jolley and you Mike Brown schmoozing cheapos will be happy. HoosierCat
Why would you expect anything different?I don't.The Bengals have openly said that re-signing Kelly and Stewart is their first choiceYeah, and how's that going? Not so well so far, apparently.Graham is an idea that certain fans have gotten themselves in a lather over without help from the Bengals.Maybe so, but if no Graham, if Kelly signs in Atanta...well, if you think that certain fans have worked themselves into a lather over Dan, wait until the Bengals call Greg or Zach's name on day 1 of the draft... HoosierCat
f**k 'em all. We have Ronnie Ghent.Actually, we don't. At least, he isn't on the roster. I seem to vaguely recall something about an injury and subsequent release...

And maybe your dumbass will write another post about the Bengals signing Dwight Freeney. The fact remains that the Bengals have never expressed any interest in signing Graham yet you and a half dozen others have positioned yourselves to whine and bitch about how your most unrealistic fantasies have been ignored. Frankly, I'll bitch if the Bengals fail to re-sign Kelly, a player they've attempted to keep off the market but failed to do so and thus other teams are now determining his market value. And the reason I'll bitch is because they've openly said that signing Kelly is a priority.Maybe so, but if no Graham, if Kelly signs in Atanta...well, if you think that certain fans have worked themselves into a lather over Dan, wait until the Bengals call Greg or Zach's name on day 1 of the draft... Well, if the Bengals actual FA plans don't pan out then that will certainly impact their draft plans...which is perfectly understandable. What isn't understandable is why a clueless fan might feel compelled to whine and bitch if the Bengals fail to sign a player they've expressed absolutely no interest in. Just because they haven't expressed interest does not mean they don't have any. That said, my guess is (as it has been from the start) that they consider him too expensive.Hopefully they catch a break with RK. I've no great affection for him, but he's servicable and the team has enough holes to fill as it is.
