its some weird trail of events where the chiefs would get in over them and then we would get the second seed because of it not entirely sure how it works out

They get in over Denver if there is a 3-way tie w/ KC. When there is a 3-way tie, the first tiebreaker is to eliminate someone within the same division.

In this scenario, KC eliminates Denver because of a better division record. This leaves KC and the Bengals with the Bengals getting in due to their Week 1 win.

Thanks people. I can't believe what I have to root for this Sunday. I do think the Chiefs will beat the Jags, but I can't see the Raiders or 49ers winning. I can't believe I have to pull for the 49ers. Sickening

If only in the Tampa game...

If only the Tampa game, if only the Atlanta game, if only the San Diego game, if only the 1st Baltimore game, if only the Denver game.

Jesus Christ! We did it to ourselves.

If only the Cincy cops were crooked and let professional athletes off without arrest.

Couldn't have said it better myself. On the other hand, I'm still with them whether they make the playoffs or not! :bengal:

It is a sad state when us loyal and devoted Bengal fans have to root for other teams to do our bidding. But such is the case, so GO RAIDERS, 9'ERs and CHEF's, I mean CHIEFS. Do us all proud.

49'ers are very capable of beating Denver (Denver is not that good), and KC is quite capable of beating the Jags since they're at home. But considering what these teams are playing for, it's hard to imagine both happening. (KC and the 49er's don't have a lot of motivation to win other than pride/stats)

All scenarios contain one more uncertainty every one seems to overlook. The Bengals have to win on Sunday.

Yep. If they continue making dumb mistakes as they have over the last three weeks, they won't beat the Steelers. I'll keep the faith though. :sure:
