schnarfer Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I am fired up for the bengals to get the national recognition they deserve after beating the ravens on thursday. We matchup well against them on both sides. If our defense can keep them at bay we should win by atleast a touchdown. Who dey Quote
Kazkal Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I think its very winnable just like last game was...Only team I really worried about left on scheadule is colts....then steelers just because they play spoiler role. Quote
derekshank Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 yeah... well, really good teams don't generally fall behind by 14 in teh first 5 minutes. We might match up well against them, but that game is just proof that we can't get behind early and let them establish their gameplan. They will be able to convert 3rd downs on us... so if we get behind, and allow those 7 minute drives we can't win. But if we impose our will on offense, and get them out of their gameplan, we'll win by double digits. They simply can't win a shoot out against us... but we have to be the ones to force it into that type of game. Quote
futurebengal08 Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 We're a completely different team than we were last time we met. Our offensive line is finally clicking, and the defense should be able to force a couple turnovers. We just need to buckle down on 3rd down on both sides of the ball and we'll be okay. Quote
JaxonFord87 Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 This game is very easily winable. We just can't beat ourselves. Quote
Stripes Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I'll bet anyone here all the zone dollars in my account that the Bengals won't be down 14-0 halfway through the first quarter. Quote

I don't know why you think we're a "completely different team" unless you mean that back then Bobbie Williams was healthy. We only allowed 2 sacks in that game, and Rudi ran the ball well. That loss had nothing to do with the offensive line. It had everything to do with getting behind early and not having a defense than could get a stop. We're the same team now than we were then. We just can't get behind early. If this game turns into a ball-control type game, we'll lose. Baltimore had the ball almost 40 minutes last time because we couldn't get a stop. That had nothing to do with our O-Line. It had everything to do with a defense that relies on turnovers (and can't stop a TE to save it's life) facing an offense that doesn't make mistakes (and has one of the league's best TE's). Quote
Arizona Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 If you're a completely different team, then so are we. Quote
Scottishbengal Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 This is going to be a hell of a tough match. The Ravens don't give up many points at all and all season long they've quietly been going about their business. I'm really not sure what to think about this one - will our O be able to overcome their D? Will their O control the ball and keep our D on the field for prolonged spells? Who will come out better on 3rd Downs?? However it pans out I'm REALLY looking forward to this match Quote
walzav29 Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Since there was only 1 kick return yesterday I was wondering who will be returning kicks now? I hope it's not Ratliff. I don't think he can run a straight line. What about that Kilmer dude? Quote

Too bad the Bengals didn't take Chris Gamble, or Ben Watson in the first round of the 2004 draft.Since there was only 1 kick return yesterday I was wondering who will be returning kicks now? I hope it's not Ratliff. I don't think he can run a straight line. What about that Kilmer dude?I would like to see Reggie Mcneal take a shot at returning kicks. Glenn Holt isn't a bad option either. Anyone that can get to the 20 or beyond without fumbling is okay in my book. Quote
TJJackson Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Anyone that can get to the 20 or beyond without fumbling is okay in my book.Thankfully, Chris Perry is done for the year......and hopefully, done with the Bengals altogether. Quote
walzav29 Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 The Bengals offensive line was not in sync in the first game and they put up 20 points. Bengals get 35 or more Thursday. Quote
