WLW fires Andy Furman over remark about TJ

I don't know who is the most cheesiest of all dorks in the whole world. Allen Cutler or Lance McAllister. These guys are so dorky they make me want to vomit. Certainly we can do better than these fruit cakes.

Yeah,Yeah.. Lance is prepared and knows his stuff... Whatever, that does not make him any less of a cheeseball. I can't stand either of these dumbasses

then who would you suggest?

Personally, I'd like someone that can carry on a conversation. I really don't want another three-hour stats and sports news show. I want debate! Lance brings the stats and news, but like him or not, Furman created a lot of debate too in between his controversies.

I am glad they fired that know-nothing blow-hard Furman. He was the least informative of any sports talk host in the city. I think his idol was Bill Cunningham. He should not have thrown TJ under the bus the way he did, even if TJ was late. That stuff needs to be kept internal. What a jackball. But for God's sake please get rid of Seg Dennison. The guy not only has a face for radio, he can't speak either. What a joke.

Who cares about informed? You have the internet, BengalsZone and Lance's show for that. I love Seg, but your right about him. I don't think he's a joke, good news guy every half hour or so. But not a host.

CINCY RADIO HOST FIRED AFTER SPAT WITH HOUSHMANDZADEH

A guy who didn't fare as well as ESPN's Sean Salibury in connection with a recent employment matter was Andy Furman of WLW radio in Cincinnati.

Furman was fired on Wednesday for calling Bengals receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh a "racist" on October 6.

The problem arose when Houshmandzadeh skipped out on a paid appearance on October 5. Furman had some choices words for T.J. on the air, and then Furman claimed the next day that Houshmandzadeh had called him a "punk-ass white boy."

Houshmandzadeh admits to a verbal exchange with Furman, but denies calling Furman a "punk-ass white boy."

"I told him, 'Andy Furman, you can [f--k] yourself.' That's the bottom line. And he twisted it into all whatever he wants to," Houshmandzadeh said after the incident.

Furman, in our view, should have known that nothing good will come out of sharing publicly the inflammatory details of a private conversation. Even if Houshmandzadeh said it (and as a punk-ass white boy, I've got to say I'm not really offended if he did), it's too easy to deny it. With no recording of the discussion and no witnesses, Furman took a huge risk.

And it blew up in his face.

Stupid-ass white boy.

lol

I think TJ left the comment on Furman's voicemail, that is why he was suspended and now fired. He was totaly proven as a liar and his behavior/comments around the issue were totally unfounded and innappropriate.

BTW, I 2nd the motion that he would be perfect in Pissburgh!

Here's a suggestion . . . Thom Brenneman.

He's popular, knowledgeable, and known for his manners and his integrity. (that may eliminate him - he's following the legacy of Trumpy, Cunningham, and Furball).

He'd probably turn it down, anyway.

2nd choice: Cohosts Hair on Fire and Kaz!

To be totally honest with you I wouldn't be suprised if TJ called Furman a punk ass white boy. TJ is known by some people to be the worst trashtalker on the team even worse than Chad. But what was TJ's reason for not showing up? Too busy playing Play Station2? If you are going to make a promise to be somewhere to do something atleast have the respect to call and say you aren't coming because something came up or whatever, instead of just not show up. That is extremely disrespectful. And in this day and age of cell phones there is absolutely no excuse.

I don't listen to WLW as much as some of you guys probably do, but sometimes some of these professional athletes need to be called out for exactly what they are, grown-up, irresponsible, over-paid, loud mouths.
