So you finnally decided to sit Henry a game. LMAO @ Marvin for actually trying to be tough now. Good call coach! This proves to all you haters that we really need Henry in there and that he's not as replaceable as some might ponder. Chatman....... meh. Washington......mehhhhhh. Henry's a #1 on another team, hands down. If you want to punish him coach fine him, don't sit him a game, f-in stupid!

I am amazed that anyone could see what an idiot Henry has been and not even want a slap on his wrist. What he has done is serious and he is one more ignorant incident from spending the rest of the season in jail.

A fine means little to a rich moron.

Marvin has to do something to get through to this mental midget.

What is f-in stupid is this f-in post

This is an o-line issue. If he had more time there would have been better results. If the Bengals can't rely on their defense they HAVE to be able to rely on their offense.
I have to agree with you. Palmer needs more time. Anyway...about that defense, what's your take on them? I could be wrong but didn't you write in an article that the defense has finally arrived? Should we be expecting a complete turnaround or just more of the same?

For my part, I will not know until I see Dexter Jackson get back (and Jeanty). With them, they were much better. Without them, they've sucked. Now, is it them? Or was the sample size too small? Won't know until we see them back...

I truly feel that the players are there to have a top 10 defense. I think Marvin said it best when guys didn't control their gaps. You can also really tell the difference between KK and Dexter Jackson. They missed tackles, but they will be alright.

This was a pretty interesting quote from Marv.

"I did notice a difference, actually," Lewis said. "I didn't have anybody taunting, in anybody's face or anything like that. That's where I noticed the difference: Guys doing it the way they're asked to do it. I didn't have to worry about the guy taking off his helmet on the field and things like that."

This isn't good for Henry.

I'm still not sure your reasonings for showering Dexter with such praise. Don't get me wrong, in his day the guy was a gamer. My only question is what has he done lately? I mean I'm not declaring myself a football guru but what exactly has he done since the 2003 season? Is it possible that Bengal fans felt so deprived of a good SS that signing Dexter appeared to be more of an upgrade than it actually is?

He was already so much better in run support than what we had back there, it wasn't even funny. So, yes, he made a difference. I am not talking about pro bowl difference, just, hey, I think I will actually tackle that guy difference.

He's missed.

Fair enough. You guys are obviously seeing something I'm not. Although I agree that the Bengals couldn't get much worse than Ohleate, I'm perplexed on how Dexters value to your team is being perceived as a remarkable upgrade.

Dexters first two games as an Bengal... 2 tackles, 2 assists, 0 int's, 0 sacks, 0 pass def.

Dexters 2004 season...11 games, 32 tackles, 13 assists, 1 int's, 1 sacks, 4 pass def.

Dexters 2003 season...6 games, 13 tackles, 2 assists, 0 int's, 0 sacks, 0 pass def.

Now, I'm not saying the guy is washed up by any means but do these stats concern you in the least? One glaring stat that sticks out is games played. Could it be possible that his body is wearing out?

I think DJ is looked at as an upgrade due to the play of the safeties that came before him. Will he keep us from drafting a safety next year ?? I don't think so !!! I like his veteran presence and leadership in the backfield, (he is vocal)... I think our defenses problems are far more than just one player. Did DJ keep our defense from tackling last week, did he make Tory overpursue Brady (making him look like Vick) ?? His return will help, but it's definitely NOT the answer to our woes.

This season is far from over, but our defense still sucks. PERIOD !!! I'm already over what I saw prior to the start of the season...

Where's 85?

That's an excellent point as well....Chad has not been his usual superstar self and that too is hurting the offense...great WRs beat double coverage every now and then, and don't drop multiple passes a game.

Yes, he was productive this week, but not at the elite level he should be. Hopefully, he will focus more on the aspects football that are related to onfield performance and less and less on the purely entertainment aspects.

Chad: we luv ya. But please.....please....spend more time on catching passes and watching film and less on figuring out what your next TD celebration will be

:sure:

When did Marvin say this, after the game? If so that's the stupid s**t that I'm talking about. I don't understand why he would say this. If your that upset with the guy Marvin f**king cut him, let him go! What's he trying to do, put all the blame on Henry b/c we lost the game? Quit saying stupid little conservative crap like that and talk about how s**tty the O and D lines played. Talk about how the LB's looked like garbage. Also talk about the bad coaching, and play calling. Our defense played like absolute crap, they blew coverages, couldn't talkle, took themselves out of plays way too much, ect. ect. ect.

Another day, another poorly reasoned post from someone who is beginning to make Spain's hash-addled posts appear logical by comparison

It's interesting that you now realize, as of this quote, that it was things OTHER THAN Henry's absence that were the primary reasons we were badly beaten by the Patriots.

That said, try to understand this as well - take a day or to for it to sink in, mkay? - that Marvin said many, many things after the game. The fact that he in this quote talked about Henry DOES NOT mean he did not at some other point talk about the defense, offensive line, etc etc etc.

(free clue: he did)
