johnstownsteel
Great article! I'm at an crossroads with this game. How do I choose on which team to pull for? Considering the Bengals are 2 games up in the division I'm guessing I should hope for a loss. It's just I hate them Pats with a passion!! Running around waving the TT in our own stadium was the staw that broke the camels back. Still though, nothing beats my hatred for those Cowboys!! To expect you to feel any other way would be ignorant. To be honest, when my Steelers are eliminated I always pull for a divisional team if any remain. Back in the 80's when Montana and crew beat the Bengals I was dating a Niners fan. She was so irritating about it and the Bengals are not even my team. Still though, nothing beats my hatred for those Cowboys!!Now we've found some common ground! Yea..I've felt that way since the 70's as a little kid. That loss to them in 95 S.B. only refueled the hate.

She was so irritating about it and the Bengals are not even my team.Honestly, I remember feeling the same way ... even in the early to mid 90s. Heck, I even remember cheering for the Steelers in the 95 Super Bowl. But something changed. Something happened. The fanbase got cocky, arrogant, and 'punkish'. Now I could never root for them under ANY condition. The scars (as you know) are just entirely too deep to me and my family. I didn't change first ... they did. Sad.Anyway ... BengalszoneBilly
Billybroome, you hate the Pats and the Cowboys? That almost makes me ignore your sig.I do not hate the Patriots. I have total respect for that organization. It's quite the opposite for the plowboys however.

SteelerFan87
Lol, it's going to be funny watching this game. Chad is going to embarrass the Pats secondary, like every other good WR does. The only chance the Pats have is to hope that they can put pressure on Palmer, because they aren't going to cover anybody. Lol, it's going to be funny watching this game. Chad is going to embarrass the Pats secondary, like every other good WR does.except if they wear yellow & soot, errrrrrrrrrr I mean black and gold. Have you guys ever beaten us this century? Seriously, have you?Oh yeah, I forgot...Happy Halloween. You guys celebrated the Halloween Bowl and we hoisted the Lombardi. My bad. duus
Man, this is too much like fun. Wish I had one of these Pats-guys in my neighborhood ... double the fun in getting at the Black-N-Urine.

Seriously, have you?Oh yeah, I forgot...Happy Halloween. You guys celebrated the Halloween Bowl and we hoisted the Lombardi. My bad. That's funny, I seem to remember Plaxico Burress burning Randle Gay quite a few times. And soot? Oh, is that a reference to pollution from steel mills? Oooh, good one! Now who's living in the past?As for beating you, it's not our fault we haven't played you since that regular season game last year. I wish the NFL had given us the Pats on our schedule this year, because the only other way we can play each other is in the playoffs, and that's not going to happen if you keep getting your asses kicked in divisional games.BTW, duus, you do realize you're playing them this sunday right? I'll see if you keep saying stuff like that if the Pats beat you.

duus
So you're putting your hatred another team ahead of the well being of your team?Of course I did not say that. You suggested my feeling after the game. I am saying win or lose, I will feel the same about joining anyone who voices hatred to the Steelers. That will not change based upon a game's outcome. That said, I don't like the Pats ... if only for one week.
SteelerFan87
That's a mighty fine article, I must say. Old Bill has a little bag of jokes in his pocket, apparently. Actually he's got 22 of them. 11 on offense and 11 more on defense.
ShulaSteakhouse
Pats will take up Pitt's game plan though - run the ball a lot and blitz up the middle often on D.
SteelerFan87
Yeah, probably the only way the Pats win is if they get a ton of pressure on Palmer, and if Maroney runs alot.
