rwalling
Was it just me or was one of the best safeties in the NFL running around looking like his right arm was about to fall off?We certainly saw what a shoulder injury can do to a safety last year with Madieu. Troy looked he wanted nothing to do with taking/dealing a hit with the bad wing. Any idea how bad it is?
GROIIIDayton
There was something really wrong I could believethey left him out there. Here is to him running away from Rudi.
HoosierCat
Troy wiffed on at least two tackles that I saw. He could be hurtin'.
agreen_112
I hope so. I think that he looks so stupid running around before the play starts to try and confuse the QB. I don't know how many times he took himself out of position b/c of that... I saw it happen at least 3 times last night.

Winning seems to bring out the worst fans.

Tasher
He was a little exposed last night. If he plays vs the Bengals he will be TOTALLY exposed.
GregCook
Troy wasn't the only one missing tackles for Pittsburgh. Those boys looked tired by the 4th qtr. Pitts secondary was never great, unlike the front seven and they got exposed last night. Also who can catch a ball in Pittsburgh? Also, who can pass block in Pittsburgh? Troy was far from the big story last night. Bengal fans should look forward to a fun Sunday.
agreen_112
Oh hell yeah, I can't wait. But seriously didn't anyone see how many times polamolu took himself out of the play by running around like a banshee before the snap of the ball. Palmer's going to pick that Defense apart, HE's too smart for them.
ArmyBengal
This is a classic example of putting the cart before the horse...The Steelers aren't a bad team because of last nights game...The Steelers aren't going to be an "easy" team to beat because of last nights game...Big Ben isn't finished because of last nights game...Their defense isn't crappy because of last nights game...Cowher may be an idiot because of last nights game, but thats another story...Don't get ahead of ourselves thinking this is going to be an "easy" win or "fun" for that matter. Our injuries alone are enough of a concern and while the backups need to step up, we've been down that road before and caution would be the best approach before declaring this week an "easy" win....WHODEY !!! But FUN, yeah I said watching this Sunday's game is going to be Fun. You bet. Can't wait. I'll have the ol 55 inch HD warmed up. My wife will be out of the house running our restaurant, my daughter's soccer games will be over. And yeah, whatever the score, that is going to be a fun game. It will be a tough physical game, like last night's too. We're going to see some great plays, who wouldn't call that FUN?

ArmyBengal
I'm referring to all the people that suddenly believe that since the Steelers lost a 9 point game to a VERY determined Jags team, that we are going to steam roll over them like they were Cleveland or something. Not pointing out anyone in particular, just laughing at how people are basing this stuff off of one game they saw... I guess people are going to start saying the Saints are a Super Bowl team because they are 2-0... Yes, you are right, it will be fun to watch just like all games, people are just getting ahead of themselves...WHODEY !!!
ShulaSteakhouse
I don't expect a win - it would be nice - by any means.Any ways Palomalu was visibly favoring his right arm and I mentioned it in the game thread I remember - he could barely move it.Not sure why this isn't bigger news anywhere. duus
Not expecting a win here either. In fact, from my perspective, should the Bengals find a way to win this one then I am completely confident that we have the better TEAM. Heck, we will be playing with several backups in the starting lineup. We are on the road. The hometeam is coming off a tough loss. EVERYTHING is in the Steelers favor. We win this one and I rest for the remainder of the year. No concerns. But I fully expect a loss, but see us hitting the bye at 3-1. Not bad and I will gladly take it. Kazkal
Palo has an injured right shoulder/arm and he's clearly favoring it and not moving it around much - he's about as half as effective as a result it seems.

derekshank
Go back and watch the Steelers game we won last year in Pittsburgh if you can. I have it on DVD, and have watched it multiple times. One thing that is undeniable, is that Polamalu's name wasn't even mentioned until very late in the 4th quarter when the game was all but over. I think Palmer has already figured out the pesky Polamalu... and with him favoring his arm, he will be that much less effective. Time will tell, but I'm expecting another Polamaluless game. Palmer already knows how to avoid him, and with his shoulder hurting, he'll be that much less effective in run coverage.
Kazkal
Well I heard his name called, but he was whiffing because he was diving at rudi rather then wrapping him up
duus
My bet on this is that his injury is more limiting than Cowher will let on. Typically, as we all know, Cowher tries to not upgrade a guy even when he is obviously 'getting better'. Ben this past Monday is just another example of Cowher trying to toy with the opponent and not let them know who will start, etc. It's happened often over the years. The good news is that the Jags didn't let it influence them as they knew Ben was starting. Now think of the opposite scenario. The key to the defense is their do-everything safety. If he is injured, do you think Cowher is going to let on about this? Don't you think he is going to minimize the whole thing? I am quite sure there is a problem with his shoulder that is limiting his ability to tackle, etc. Forget what Cowher says. I say go after the guy. Do like the Jags and toss and run his way. Notice how many times the players went right by him on Monday?Should be fun.
ArmyBengal
Well, if our o-line allows the same penetration the Browns were able, Polamalu might have a better game arm and all. WHODEY !!!
