agreen_112
Tory's fine! The guy had one bad play, and this city's already against him, come on! I don't care what corner it is, Champ, Law, Mathis, Ike Taylor, ect. Every corner in the NFL has bad games. There's too much talent in the WR's now, too much and it's impossible to have a good game week in and week out. Tory is an excellent corner and so will Joseph, he's already shown that, but it's not his time. We need good nickel and dime corners too. Remember, Depth is the Key! Do you guys think that Pittsburgh is calling for their #3 corner to come in and take over for Taylor after his playing yesterday? Be real cincinnati, Tory's ok!!!! Sox
Keiwan gets no respect at corner. If he had better recovery speed, and stopped biting on double moves, maybe he'd get some respect.
The Brew Man
I think Tory looks worse with Jackson out honestly, KK just doesnt help as well as Jackson in the secondary and thus exposes James moreso than when he is in. He will be ok once Jackson returns but I agree Joseph is the future.
CBin2k7
Tory's OK, he is what he is now. He is good in space, he can jump routes, but he anticipates too much, and with his lack of recovery speed it leads to big plays. 2 straight weeks, you have seen plays where Tory is caught peaking in the backfield. He is a below average tackler, and his skills are diminishing, but he is serviceable as a decent zone cover corner and man to man on receivers with additional safety help over the top.Joseph has the talent to be a real good one, he has the instincts, and makes plays. He almost made an interception to seal the game against the Steelers, Deltha/JJ will be a great CB tandem.
TJJackson
I think by year's end (barring injuries, always the big x factor in everything) you'll see Tory at nickel (or dime, if Keiwan shows them something) corner and Joseph as the starter. schweinhart
Once again...time to start Joseph then put him in the slot as the nickel with James coming back in weakside. There's a good chance of more James Toast Sunday depending on Chad Jackson's return and even if not Tom Brady showed last night that Doug Gabriel is in his sight as the weakside WR. Gabriel might be a little more phsyical than James can handle. Besides being past and great in man coverage, Joseph is cut and brings some pop with him. jditty47
tory is still good. look, the steelers didnt even throw on him all game. that is what a veteran brings. no way joseph starts soon, not with our LB's and S's in the state they are in, joseph will stay at nickle, where hes doing great. HairOnFire
I'd say Tory can keep his starting job as long as he stops looking into the backfield like he did on the critical early 3rd down play against the Steelers. Yeah, Braylon Edwards abused him late in the brown game, but despite his slowing wheels there aren't THAT many NFL wideouts who can just blow right by him....if he isn't caught cheating. I'm getting real tired of that crap.
schweinhart
James looked like garbage early on his Chinese fire drill coverage where he was spinning around in a circle while Cedric Wilson managed to catch and run for 36 yards. But other than the illegal contact penalty shortly after that, James didn't get thrown at much if at all. There's still teams that Tory can hang with their WRs but there's WRs that James can not deal with in man. No question Joseph is the nickel back out of the slot and given the likelihood that the Bengals will mostly be playing with the lead forcing teams to throw more, both James and Joseph will be on the field at the same time along with O'Neal. The question is do the Bengals want to have 2 cover corners who will not got beat deep in man? This will be extremely important vs. teams with fast WRs but even more important vs. teams with fast RBs because it will allow single coverage by the CBs for either Madieu or hopefully Dex Jack to completely key on the run. Stripes
The question is do the Bengals want to have 2 cover corners who will not got beat deep in man?I'd say they do right now, and Tory isn't one of the two. From a matchups standpoint, I can understand Tory staying at his starting spot in certain games... but it only seems like a matter of time until his sloth speed bites us in the butt at a key juncture of a football game.I like Tory as a mistake free veteran presence (unless we're talking about play action ), but I just don't think he has much gas left in the tank. He'll be able to handle the job as long as he has to do so, but I think it's a better defense out there with Joseph in his place.
HoTbOy
I think that JJoseph should start, TJames looks like an octopus out there trying to guard someone...long arms flapping in the winds and running nowhere...I like TJames at NB but not at safety...KK would be better served playing FS because his tackling ability is on a milk carton missing somewhere...I can't believe that the Bengals don't have someone better to play SS... derekshank
Joseph looked really good on Sunday. I think he'll start the next time we face a team with a burner at WR, and Tory will move to the nickle.Tory is made for the nickle. He won't have to cheat nearly as often against the bigger slower WR's in the slot, and he's got long arms and is a sure tackler, so he's be good for covering TE's. Also... nickle actually takes more brains... and Tory is a veteran who knows football. The change will happen eventually. We'll be a better team for it, but in the meantime, it will be nice watching Joseph continue to improve.
Tasher
Joseph in the starting lineup, coming soon to PBS near you! He looked phenomenal on Sunday and as he gains gameday experience, he can't do anything else but make us better when he is on the field. His closing speed and ability to get his hands on the ball were awesome.

Kirkendall
Tory's fine! The guy had one bad playThat's what Marvin said. Said he played good except for that one bad play early in the game. I think Chick Ludwig did a double take... Big Ben, 0 TDs, 3 INTs. Seems like a workable formula to me. cincy9275
well after today the pats just torched tory, hell he even got juked by brady for a 22 yard run . he was pathetic and does need to be pulled from the starting lineup they got 2weeks to get joseph ready . tory got beat bad about 5 or 6 times today alone . Pinkygen
I sadly agree. JJ has looked much better than Tory. JJ's still going to make some mistakes, but Tory has looked awful. He's been burnt, been caught upfield at the QB far too often, and can't tackle worth a damm. (That 27 yard Tom Brady run made me scream). That one interception was a fluke. JJ cannot be as bad. JJ's got two weeks to practice.
schnarfer
It is sad to say but I think it may be time to start our number 1 draft pick. James is average at best and has hurt us all year. Joseph is very talented and is fresher than James. Tory is a good man and has helped us but it is quite obvios that he is getting beat all over the place. It cant hurt us any worse to put in our future starting corner.

jjakq27
He reminds me of Kevin Hardy a few years back. Going through the motions and seeming to lack that passion and emotion that is needed.
AMC
Knowing Marvin's "see better than I hear" mantra...I suspect JJ will have every opportunity to win the starting job.One idea: move Tory to (strong) safety, put Madieu back at FS...That is the most logical plan.....
