membengal
1. I actually DON'T want to see Carson or the starting offensive line for this one. Completely meaningless. We know for sure now that they are pretty much ready to pick up where they left off, let them sit.2. Dorsey with carries in the first quarter against the top Colts back-ups. 3. Converse to number one above, two and half quarters of snaps for Wright, and another quarter and a half for Johnson. This is actually as comfortable a situation with Bengals' backup qbs as I can ever remember.4. More hints from the defensive line that a new day has dawned.5. Health. Above all else for this particularly meaningless game, I hope the starters across the board barely sniff the field.Bizarre short week this time around, no reason to mess with potential injuries. This game is for those fighting it out for the last roster spots.
duus
Agreed. After this past Monday's performance, it would not bother me in the least if Palmer had a recliner on the sideline, feet propped up, and a nice cold drink in hand. Seriously, until Monday happened, I had wanted to see him in both games. Not now. Let's see the other guys fight it out for roster spots. If he hits the field, I am sure it will be for only one series, perhaps even just 3 downs. Then again, there will be those (like myself) who ask what is the risk/reward for doing that? ChadJohnson-85
1. Carson throwing a deep one to CJ for a TD.2. DJ picking up another fumble + returning it for a TD again. I wouldn't be surprised, he already did it two times this pre-season.3. Rudi rushing for 2 TDs before the 2nd half. If he's in that long....4. David Pollack getting his first sack this pre-season.5. Deltha O'Neal making an interception and returning it for a TD.Who Dey!!!
Who Dey Time
I want to see the f'n preseason end. Bring on Kansas City! It's time for some real football. Let the third teamers get in one last game before they are waived. WHO-DEY!
derekshank
I want to see Palmer go out there and show that Monday was for real for two drives, and then go rest up for Kansas City. Other than that... no injuries, and I'm happy.

rwalling
1) A bunch of names and numbers that I don't see during the regular season except on special teams2) NO INJURIES OR LIGHTNING!3) Tie breaking performances at WR, RB, LB, DE, DB4) Sam Adams competing against the hot dog eating champ at halftime5) Marvin smiling and laughing on the sideline

TJJackson
Eric Henderson on the stat sheetThe backups at OTDeDeKilmerBrazellNicholson and Rucker waived just prior to game timeMore touchback kickoffs (this is my SECOND favorite thing about the preseason so far, special teams fan that I am, second only to Carson's return, natch)

Tasher
2-3 series with Carson, just to do it without all the hype of the Monday night lights in the middle of Cinci...Get everybody off the field without any injuriesPlenty of playing time for the rooks and guys on the fringe of making the club so that good decisions can be made. That is all, carry on. Stripes
I want to see at least one series from the starting offense, Carson included. It'd be nice to see Dorsey get some early carries. The guys on the bubble at WR and LB should get in often as well.
schweinhart
I'd like to see Fanene and Rucker show up. Are they about to get PUPped or IRed or what? Eric Henderson logged as much time at DT the last 2 games as DE and has consistently played well from all four D-line positions. I'd like to see Henderson get off the sack snide with a vengeance and rack up some TFLs to make it harder to cut him. I'd also like to see Ronnie Ghent get the load of work at TE and several balls thrown his way.And yes....more DeDe Dorsey....Lots more, including punt returns and maybe some defense near the end of the game. AGrizzlyBaer
interesting stat about the preseason, this is the first time since 88 that the bengals had a winning preseason
ArmyBengal
No injuries is the most important thing in my mind, but agree with some of the other thoughts in wanting to see some early play by some of the players in position battles prior to cutdown. Dorsey is at the top of that list...WHODEY !!!
BengalByTheBay
I am firmly in the minority here, but I want to see:1. Carson and the starters for 2 possessions. 2. I'd like to see Sam start, again for about 2 defensive possessions. 3. Since Deltha will be sitting again, I'd like Rat to start at CB to maximize his trade potential and/or to give him more PT to smooth over some of the rhetoric from the past couple of days. I like him as versatile depth at defensive back and don't want him to get attitude now. 4. I'd like to see pressure on Indy's QB (whoever the heck that's going to be with Sorgi down and Manning likely in bubble-wrap on the sidelines).5. Larson continue to avoid the shank. There is a one liner on the web-site saying that the Bengals weren't interested in trading him... and now we are concerned with maximizing his trade value? That doesn't make any sense at all. You would only maximize his trade potential if you were interested in trading him... which the site indicated we are not.It seems like we enjoy reading way too much into these little statements... and in fact, interpret them to mean the opposite of what they say. We're not trading Ratliff.

We're not trading Ratliff."and/or" includes both the conjunctive and disjunctive. Unlike you, I don't pretend to know what the Bengals front office has in mind. This is more than a WAG though because the same article you're relying on said that at least one team has shown interest in him. Generally, a team will deny that they're shopping a player until a trade occurs. So, while I've covered my butt, if Rat IS traded, you will be flat wrong. Generally, a team will deny that they're shopping a player until a trade occurs. So, while I've covered my butt, if Rat IS traded, you will be flat wrong.Firstly... my post was not meant to be an attack against you.. so take it easy. I was just simply pointing out that we've spent way too much time discussing the possibility of us trading Ratliff because of half a sentence in a Hobson column. Having an entire thread dedicated to this throw-away statement - and having the discussion leak into other threads as well - is a bit over-board. Therefore... the idea to start him to maximize his value for a trade (which they didn't do) is silly when there has been no indication of any kind that there are any plans whatsoever to do so. In regards to giving him more PT to smooth over some of the rhetoric from the past couple of days... I'm not sure how much rhetoric there is to smooth over. This is a internet forum. We are all Bengal addicts that have nothing better to do with our time that surf the internet at work looking for more Bengal news. This is the only place in the world that this is being discussed... so I doubt it's much of a distraction for Ratliff. I doubt the team has even noticed the "rhetoric." So in reference to your and/or statement, both the conjunctive and disjunctive were based upon a false premise... but then again, I might be "flat wrong."
