What are you 12 or something ?? Go back and reread my post. It was a joke based off of what you wrote. Besides that, questioning someones manhood on a computer site is the lamest thing I think I've witnessed in the 3 years I've been coming here. You sure you aren't a Steelers fan, because that is something I would expect from that type of fanbase. Your post is amusing at best. Have a nice day and be sure to do your homework little guy !!!

WHODEY !!!

You want to talk about growing a set, go find Von Oelhofen and put this to him, then come back and talk about growing a set.

I didn't know this was still a big deal. It's the way the game is played. Intentional? Or not? On every play these 300 lb guys are trying to kill each other, do you think he was even thinking about intention? It was all instinct. They're trained to not have to think.

Players will go down every game, every year. Sometimes it's a practice team grunt on a kick return and the team doesn't miss a beat. Sometimes it's your #1 quarterback and all of a sudden team depth and ability to overcome setbacks becomes more important than talent. It's called the NFL. Some guys get it... and some don't. If you like whining, by all means keep it up, you obviously get a kick out of "but we couldda", and "This woulda happened if..." But you win by overcoming that crap. You wanna ditch a loser image? Suck it up and win anyhow. Win without the best guy.

Good crimeny, to think I figured you guys would be fun to talk football with, even though you wear different colors. What a bunch of whining crap.

Personally, I think the hit was AT LEAST questionable, but I just don't care anymore

QUESTIONABLE ?? You can't be serious !! Get Carson off to the side and ask him if he care's anymore.

Let me respond to this one as well while I'm at it... Please go ask Carson how he feels about the hit, because if you knew anything about this, Carson has stated NUMEROUS times (that's a lot) that he thought the hit was clean and help no remorse for Kimo. While he might be disgruntled, he knows things happen in the game and has used it as a motivator to getting back on the field as wuickly as he has. So please, go ahead and take your own advice and ask Carson yourself. Not a Steelers fan ?? They need things explained more than once as well little guy... Hmmm...

WHODEY !!!

As I said, I will always be unsure as to this being intentional or not, but one thing I know ... he did intentionally wrap his forearm around Carson's knee. With intention to hurt? I go both ways, and don't care much anymore. But to say being on the ground, reaching out and wrapping your forearm around the QBs knee is INSTINCT is absolutely absurd. Doing that is not instinct ... it's at least a bit on the stupid side, and at most dirty. Not instinct. Saying that is probably as stupid as anything. Again, even Benji admits that grabbing at the knee is at least a little dirty. That's all I ask people to admit. Not necessarily an intention to rip ligaments, but at least a questionable way to deal with a QB that has already released the ball. I don't like it. Obviously the league doesn't either or they wouldn't have changed the rule because of it. Why didn't they declare it minimally 'questionable'? Because the Rooney's and the Stealers own this league and have way to much influence on what is said and isn't. Yes, that's exactly how I see it. Heck, even Stealer players get away with doing more things illegally in the city of Pissburgh than do other players around the country in their own cities. That's a fact. Makes me sick to my stomach sometimes how incredibly biased, and perhaps even corrupt, this city and organization truly are. Yet, they do all they can to put forth the propaganda that they are this squeaky clean organization. Anything but true.

I hate them. I hate their fans. I hate their colors. Pissburgh ... home of the black and urine. End of story.

Call me an optimist, but I would rather spend my time thinking about winning the Super Bowl THIS year as opposed to why we didn't LAST year !!! :sure:

WHODEY !!!

I'm with you, of course. But living here in Pissburgh just continues to remind me of the past. I cannot get away from it regardless of how much I try. Twice over the summer I was walking around with a Bengals shirt on and had folks start yelling at me asking something like "how's the knee?!" and "shouldn't you be limping?" Typical obnoxious, idiotic Stealer fans. They are all the same. Movin' on ... best I can.

I'll agree to that. My point is more like, you know how police officers are trained (on TV) to instantly identify threats using popup targets? A target might be a threat, or it might be a kid with a water pistol. A rushing lineman is more like a police officer that has been trained to shoot at everything. It increases effectiveness at the expense of safety.

I hope the guy comes back 100%. He's a great player, the game needs guys like Palmer. I'm looking forward to Monday's game.

Yeah, but for the two that yelled there were a million who didn't...

They just snickered to themselves, "Wotta loser!"

j/k, I hope you don't take it as anything else!

For those sissies who say get over it, screw you !! Some like to take a stand for what is right!! Crush the Stealers !! Pay back is a bitch !

Somebody named "butch" calls other people "sisssies"? Eminem called, he needs his latent homosexuality back.

I sympathize with your situation, but at some point you're going to have to accept responsibility for the fact that you're a Bengals fan who chooses to live Pittsburgh. I'm not aware of any military installations in southwestern PA, so I'm going to assume you're free to relocate to a more tolerant city whenever you want.

Oh, if it was that easy. My situation is not one of military, money, job, or anything like that. In fact, given that I own my own company and work out of my home 100% of the time, you would think it would be easy wouldn't you? But no. My wife (the only sane, intelligent person to ever come from Pissburgh :) ), has elderly relatives here. I long ago agreed to stay for that reason. I long for that day in the future when we will get back to a cleaner city ... a more polite people, in general ... a place where the public school system offers more than a 6th grade-level education. We will make it back to the Cincy area ... in due time. Until then ... I AM GOING NUTS!!!

Duus, you don't owe that guy any explanation. People live where circumstances take them, and for what it's worth, I happen to agree with you.

Whatever else it was, it was a dirty hit. Always was, always will be.

Holy smokes, what a thread. And I thought we left this all back in May when we found out that Carson was REALLY going to be ready for the season opener (or was that June?) and camp.

All we have to do now is go out and play football.

Besides, has anyone else noticed how inept Pittsburgh has look through 3 preseason games? :)

I know it is "preseason" but every other supposedly "Top Echelon" team looks pretty good, Carolina, New England, Indy, etc...

Even the Bengals look pretty staunch so far (AND that is without Carson at the helm).

So keep your chin up, we will find out where it is all at in week 3, only about 4 short weeks away.

:bengal:

too some of us watching carson get hurt is almost like watching someone hurting a family member . so i can understand why some of us are still very pissed and sensitive when the subject is brought up . but it is in the past and we should move on regardless if it was intentional or not .

Don't get me wrong, I almost puked when I saw Carson on the ground... :puke: However, it's time to focus on this season and with what we saw last night, I think it's safe to say, we can now move on !!!
