PALMERS BACK!

I would rather sit Palmer for three games, take time having Palmer come back over rushing him.

Palmer will be here for the next ten years. One year is just one year. We are talking about an extended career here. No need to rush him. Palmer will win for Cincy for years to come....patience.

Peter King, as usual, trying to stir controversy or otherwise pee on the Bengals (it must really kill him that they have gotten good again):

So...a few unnamed players on other teams have wondered what's going on with Carson and he uses that to muse that somehow Carson is hearing or will be hearing things whispered in the Bengals' clubhouse?

Even for King, a bit over the top.

Looking forward to next Monday night, if only to get Carson out there and get the circus to move on, once and for all, one way or another.

Muses: aka "Making sh*t up"

I'd be surprised if there were anyone on the team who was talking crap about Carson.

I'm a little concerned that this is the first I'm hearing the word "swelling".
“As long as I don’t have a bunch of swelling and tenderness, I’ll be ready to roll.”

Palmer said he has had a little of both, but not enough to blow up Lewis’s practice schedule. ...

reference: Palmer gives Lewis sign

Oh please, swelling or tenderness minor enough not to disrupt the practice schedule ...

I think it's a valid argument. I've personally wondered since he's looked so good in practice(also asking form more reps) why couldn't he run a few series against Buffalo.

Probably has something to do with Palmer's opinion of the preseason. I bet he was ready to roll, but didn't see any reason to risk it. If he can play some against the Packers and guage his performance, then he's accomplished all he really needs to accomplish. Starters rarely play much in the 4th preseason game too, so this one makes the most sense.

This game at least should easily tell us who our opening day starter is, and if it's Carson, WATCH OUT!!! :bengal:
