ShulaSteakhouse
"Expects to play" as long as he doesn't have any "swelling or tenderness." So we really won't know for sure until late in the week.
PMThor
I would rather sit Palmer for three games, take time having Palmer come back over rushing him.Palmer will be here for the next ten years. One year is just one year. We are talking about an extended career here. No need to rush him. Palmer will win for Cincy for years to come....patience. aaronburr
I'm a little concerned that this is the first I'm hearing the word "swelling".
Stripes
I'm friggin' pumped. The Chiefs should be quaking in their boots (and the Steelers).

ChadJohnson-85
I cant wait to see Palmer next week but im just hopeing he dosent get hurt again. That would suck cuz then I would have to hate the Packers too.
DC_Bengals_Fan
"We don't have a team of Kimos." --- John Thornton OK. I officially rescind all previous arguments in favor of cutting JT. Keep the guy, that was fantastic. That's up there with Wyche's quote.
membengal
Peter King, as usual, trying to stir controversy or otherwise pee on the Bengals (it must really kill him that they have gotten good again):http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...mmqb/index.htmlSo...a few unnamed players on other teams have wondered what's going on with Carson and he uses that to muse that somehow Carson is hearing or will be hearing things whispered in the Bengals' clubhouse?Even for King, a bit over the top.Looking forward to next Monday night, if only to get Carson out there and get the circus to move on, once and for all, one way or another. rob_justdmb
I, for one, am terrified. I had better see my starting O Line out there when he's out there. I don't care how banged up Steinbach and Willie are. I trust them on stretchers out there protecting CP than Andrews and Whitworth. No offense to those two... angst
I'm a little concerned that this is the first I'm hearing the word "swelling".“As long as I don’t have a bunch of swelling and tenderness, I’ll be ready to roll.”Palmer said he has had a little of both, but not enough to blow up Lewis’s practice schedule. ...reference: Palmer gives Lewis signOh please, swelling or tenderness minor enough not to disrupt the practice schedule ... stilldiesel
As a Steeler fan I am really glad to see Carson Palmer back behind center. You guys have looked great this preseason and I look forward to another great year for both team and a continuance of this budding rivalry. bengalboomer7
In this month's issue of Maxim they do an interview with Chad and one of the questions is "Can anyone in the NFL stop you"Chad's reply "Carson Palmer"I love it. bengalboomer7
I think it's a valid argument. I've personally wondered since he's looked so good in practice(also asking form more reps) why couldn't he run a few series against Buffalo. I've personally wondered since he's looked so good in practice(also asking form more reps) why couldn't he run a few series against Buffalo.Probably has something to do with Palmer's opinion of the preseason. I bet he was ready to roll, but didn't see any reason to risk it. If he can play some against the Packers and guage his performance, then he's accomplished all he really needs to accomplish. Starters rarely play much in the 4th preseason game too, so this one makes the most sense.
