I think Carson getting healthy is a no brainer, but after that, you could go with all of the above like B24 suggested. If it's just one of those, I'll go with the pass rush, as the run stoppage seemed to improve and with the addition of Jackson and Adams, along with a healthy, putting pressure on the opposing QB would be great !!!

You're doing good things today CJ-85... Look at your zone dollars !!!

WHODEY !!!

All the above. :)

That was my thought!

Without Carson, we aren't going to any Superbowl.

Improving the pass rush is right behind it though. Pollack should do nicely.

Without an improved pass rush, tighter run defense, and avoiding injuries, we aren't going to any Superbowl either!

Actually we were going to Super Bowl 40 without a good defense until a so called "(accident)" happened.

No Palmer, no chance.

No question an improved pass rush would help against the pass, but I don't see what the Bengals have done to upgrade the pass rush enough to make a monumental difference. Short of the unexpected pass rush wise, it should take a healthy Madieu all year long plus the timely development of Joseph into a nickel back and starter by the 2nd half of the year to get the Bengals into the playoffs for a Super Bowl run. The secondary can't collapse again in the 2nd half of the season.

The run D had better be equipped for the NFC South speed backs the Bengals will face in Dunn, Vick, Cadillac, Reggie Bush and even Deangelo Williams or they face problems in those games. Still, they can bend vs. the run so long as they don't break. And it does look like the run D should be the best it has been so far under Marvin.

CP getting well, no doubt about that one. You don't have a head, the body dies. Our golden boy is the key, whether our run D improves or not.
