I'll agree with BB7 on this one especially since this year he'll have the benefit of being at camp. I look for Pollack to be HUGE this year !!! I hope the two of them are gunning it out for the most sacks all year !!!

That's another thing, I've never understood the character thing about Odell. He got in one fight his freshman year as I understand it. Probably not something to be proud of, but still. He's no Cheech Henry or Pacman Jones.

If our middle linebacker has more sacks than our SSOLB and part time DE then we are in REAL trouble. The only way Odell has more sacks than Pollack is if Pollack suffers a season ending injury (knock on wood..er..silicone to wake up the computer fairies) early in the season.

MLB's don't get sacks very often compared too a olB + david rushs the passer its what he does its like saying pollack will get more ints then odell

the more valid comparison will be "tackles" or better still "tackles for loss" (which include sacks)

I think Pollack might lead the team in sacks. We're going to have a big run stopping D-Line. If Justin Smith and Bryan Robinson are our DE's on 1st and 2nd down, an effective pass rush will have to come from blitzing. I look for Pollack to blitz quite often to make opposing QB's uneasy.

It will be DPollack, he can play DE or LB. OThurman will have to cover backs out of the backfield and some TE's being the MLB, DPollack wouldn't have as much responsiblity as OThurman...

geathers had more sacks in his rookie year than last year...and he played less downs and on the outside, which is what he'll do this year. and im sure he'll get more snaps than his rookie year which ='s more sacks.
