ChadJohnson-85 Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 ODELL! ODELL! ODELL! Pollack & Thurman will both be really good in 06 and have more opportunities to get sack's with BIG SAM on the D-line.WHO DEY! Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Seeing how Pollack gets a lot more oppotunities to rush the passer, I'll say Pollack Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 I'll agree with BB7 on this one especially since this year he'll have the benefit of being at camp. I look for Pollack to be HUGE this year !!! I hope the two of them are gunning it out for the most sacks all year !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
HairOnFire Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 It'll be Pollack. Not only will he get more chances, but I'm now predicting that Thurman will be cut outright when the Bengals purge all of the character risks from their roster.* *I'm almost certain I'm kidding. Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 It'll be Pollack. Not only will he get more chances, but I'm now predicting that Thurman will be cut outright when the Bengals purge all of the character risks from their roster.* *I'm almost certain I'm kidding. That's another thing, I've never understood the character thing about Odell. He got in one fight his freshman year as I understand it. Probably not something to be proud of, but still. He's no Cheech Henry or Pacman Jones. Quote
Stripes Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 If Odell ends up with more sacks than Pollack, then we have a historic first round bust on our hands. When does the friggin' season start? Quote
GapControl Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Given Pollack`s record last year and his less demanding role in defensive leadership, he will garner the most sacks of Thurman and he. For Sure. Quote
Wraith Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Didn't Pollack have more sacks than Odell last year? 4.5 to 1.5?If our middle linebacker has more sacks than our SSOLB and part time DE then we are in REAL trouble. The only way Odell has more sacks than Pollack is if Pollack suffers a season ending injury (knock on wood..er..silicone to wake up the computer fairies) early in the season. Quote
Kazkal Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 MLB's don't get sacks very often compared too a olB + david rushs the passer its what he does its like saying pollack will get more ints then odell Quote
TJJackson Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 the more valid comparison will be "tackles" or better still "tackles for loss" (which include sacks) Quote
derekshank Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 I think Pollack might lead the team in sacks. We're going to have a big run stopping D-Line. If Justin Smith and Bryan Robinson are our DE's on 1st and 2nd down, an effective pass rush will have to come from blitzing. I look for Pollack to blitz quite often to make opposing QB's uneasy. Spor_tees Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 I was thinking about starting a poll on who would throw more TD passes this year...Carson or Chad Johnson. What do you guys think? Quote
Kazkal Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 I was thinking about starting a poll on who would throw more TD passes this year...Carson or Chad Johnson. What do you guys think? Diden't chad play QB in HS? so i'd have to go with him Quote
jditty47 Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 im thinking geathers will lead the team in sacks. Quote
Kazkal Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Meh if he was starting still mybe but I look for geathers get about 5 with limited playing time Quote
HoTbOy Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 It will be DPollack, he can play DE or LB. OThurman will have to cover backs out of the backfield and some TE's being the MLB, DPollack wouldn't have as much responsiblity as OThurman... Quote
jditty47 Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 geathers had more sacks in his rookie year than last year...and he played less downs and on the outside, which is what he'll do this year. and im sure he'll get more snaps than his rookie year which ='s more sacks. Quote
