NO WAY!!!~The team briefly recovered between 1958 and 1963, culminating with a 9-5 win-loss record in 1962. WOW....ONE WINNING RECORD OVER A 6 YEAR PERIOD.~Pittsburgh followed a 7-4 record in 1963 with eight consecutive losing campaigns from 1964 to 1971. YOU'RE BEGINNING TO SOUND A LOT LIKE THOSE BUNGLES YOU TALK ABOUT.~In 1972, just three years after a one-win season, head coach Chuck Noll led the Steelers to the team’s first division title ever. WOW IT TOOK YOU GUYS HOW MANY YEARS TO GET A DIVISION TITLE? 39?~The crown marked the beginning of a dynasty that won seven Central Division championships (including six consecutively) and four Super Bowls from 1972 to 1980. CT Stiller
Again, it's sad and pathetic that you spend that much time hating another person because he's a fan of another team. Very sad. I'm noticing a trend here...And yes, there were plenty of comments aimed at Ben and the Steelers. You and the other moderators can spin it any way you want, but the truth is it's not about us fans, it's about a talented player who's killed your team in the past. Being happy that he was injured is a painful emotion to face, but at least confront it in an adult manner.Truth hurts, huh guys?Yeah, it does. And the truth is that no one here was happy Ben got hurt. Look around, the threads are there. Compare what was said with the BS article in the PG. Go ahead, I dare you.Let's be clear: we aren't happy that Ben was hurt. We ARE happy that Ben's accident made guys like you miserable. So you should feel thrilled. It's not about Ben. It's all about YOU. I hope Ben is fine. And I hope you have NO IDEA whether he'll be fine or not and have to face that question every time you think about your team. I hope Ben is healthy and that your summer is ruined.I guess I just have an un-fully-formed brain. Oh, well, life is harsh. Some people are even forced to live in Pittsburgh... I'm noticing a trend here...Yeah, so am I: how you continue to back away from the proposition that we all were happy Ben got hurt. Now it's just this lame boo-hoo bit about how I don't like Steelers fans. Tell me, is that insight worth a front-page-sports-section story in the PG in June: that Bengals fans and Steelers fans are at odds? I suppose tomorrow the PG will feature a story on how oil and water don't mix...gas prices are in the news and all, and oil is shipped in on boats that float on water, so I suppose there's some vague rationale... And yes, there were plenty of comments aimed at Ben and the Steelers.I'm waiting. Is your copy/paste button broke? And you said "plenty" so I better see a lot. Can't do it, eh? That's because there are few, if any. There were lots of comments directed at classless Steeler fans, but that's about it.You and the other moderators can spin it any way you want, but the truth is it's not about us fans, it's about a talented player who's killed your team in the past. Being happy that he was injured is a painful emotion to face, but at least confront it in an adult manner.I don't have to spin anything. You haven't provided one iota of proof, one piece of evidence to support your -- or the PG's -- accusations. I've given you the links, I've given you the opportunity, and all you've given me is...nothing.

duus
Even if Ray Fitipaldo wanted to make Cincy, Cleveland, and Baltimore fans look like idiots, at least he chose to do so with his real name, in a real forum. Not Bnglfan006, or IHeartCarson22. I thought the best part of the article was the doctor who said that people who post negatively and maliciously don't have fully developed brains (either because of their young age or because they are rats who just aren't very well educated). I believe he referred to a lack of "class and culture" as a result. Here's the bottom line: desperation, jealousy, and bitterness are stinky colognes. "What goes around comes around?" Grow up. Ben has limited injuries. He will be back in time to play the Bengals, and even if he isn't Willie will just run for 100+ yards on that porous run defense, the Steelers will control the clock for more than 1/2 the game, and they will walk out of the "Jungle" with yet another win. I'm not going to ever come back to this site - so please don't even try to cut me down and think I'll come back and care about it. I dislike posting because I truthfully think it’s for geeks who have no athletic ability and love to talk about a sport they know very little about anyway. They sit in front of the glow of their computer until wee-hours of the morning until the last dork goes to bed. So for all of you 42 year old guys out there, "who could have won the Ohi-ah state championship in '81 if coach has just started you at QB," please get a life, get off welfare, and get off these boards/forums. By the way, I'm a 21-year old college student, obviously from Pittsburgh, who can not wait until the season starts so I can sit in my Lay-Z-Boy, watch my 52" HD TV (w/ surround sound), and drink beers while watching the debacle that will be Steelers/Bengals (Ben or no Ben).Ah, what a shame. I was going to invite little Patsy over to my Pittsburgh home and show her what a real entertainment center looks like in the home of someone who gets an education outside of this city.
