BengalsOwn Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 What, other than the fact that the story clearly states that it is not true? Quote
Bungle in the Jungle Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 You guys have any info?Spain, You been smoking that s**t again? Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Why the #*&@ would Odell be suspended for a year? He hasn't done anything freaking wrong.Henry wouldn't even be suspended for a year if he were convicted of everything he has done. The NFLPA won't allow that. Quote
BTG Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Jesus Christ, this is the post shown on the main page for this particular forum. I almost had a damned heart attack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack. Quote
ChadJohnson-85 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 If this is true I think i'll kill myself!!!!!! BTW, this would have been reported to Bengals.com right away, I hope..... Quote
PMThor Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I nearly sharted. Thanks alot. No really. Thanks a freaking lot. dangit. Quote
combatbengal Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 This is just a way to try to bring our spirits down. Everybody in the nature is aware that the Bengals are now a contender and are scared that we might take a few super bowls in the near future. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Might I suggest we collect up some funds to send Spain to rehab and kick the crack habit... Wonder if they take BZ Dollars ???WHODEY !!! Quote
Section 310 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 There was also mention of this on Profootballtalk.com. They hear it is substanceabuse related, but cannot get comments or leaks from anyone atthe league office. Hope it is bogus, or our defense will suffera huge blow. Quote

Ask Ricky how many times he had to be busted to get a year off! Quote
jjakq27 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I hope this isn't true. This place is beginning to remind me of the Ravens or something. Quote

MacD BengalFan Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Where is all of this information coming? No one has shown where they are getting this info. The media would jump all over this if any of this was true. They would love nothing better to grab this because of the recent problems Bengal players have been in. Until there is anything to support this, I do not believe any of it. Quote

HoTbOy Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I thought that you had to be caught doing drugs 1st to even get put in the program, I have not heard of anything involving OThurman, the guy from PFT said that he can't validate story, but stay tuned... Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Did Florio write this gem too?Actually, he's the one who's saying it's horses**t. To get a year suspension, as I understand it, Odell would have to:1) Fail two drug tests during the season, and have this not get out;2) Fail two more drug tests in the offseason, triggering the 1-year suspension (4 positives) before he could serve the 4-game suspension (3 positives), which is the first public indication that a guy's in the program assuming the league keeps the test results under wraps (which it rarely does). That'd be a lot even for Cheech Henry. Edogger Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Ouch, I opened this up and thought there is no freaking way that one team could have this much bad luck after rebuilding and being competitive once again. I hope for all the Bengals that is is not true...that would be such a huge blow to the defense. I will keep my fingers crossed...and the Bengals have to keep Odel away from Henry and Nicholson. He doesn't need any accomplice charges to go along with the rumor. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 PFT has stated there is no real merit to this yet - but I am wondering where it came from exactly - even they don't usually report things based on nothing but pure speculation or some dork faking a post on a forum somewhere. They HAVE to know that a 1st violation, or even a 2nd or 3rd, does not result in a year's suspension. Now if there is a particular substance used that does call for more harsh penalties than others (not sure what that would be - steroids?) then I'm not aware of it.I think it's pretty bush to put this out there though as even a "rumor" by PFT - they just lose even more credibility than they've already lost. scott91575 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Where I saw the rumor started was on the Bengals Insiders Board (scout.com) by some guy that heard from a friend this was going to happen. Seems a little fishy.http://mb14.scout.com/fbengalsinsiderfrm1....cID=11621.topic Quote
membengal Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Can we get some board consensus to stop parroting the s**t from PFT please? Quote
