Who will be the rookie of the year in 06.

IMO rookie of the year is going to be A.J. Hawk. Cadillac" Williams got rookie of the year last year. To bad Odell didnt get rookie of the year.

If A.J. Hawk didnt get rookie of the year then my second guess would be Michael Huff.

I am going to go way out on a limb on one of these picks but I think AJ Hawk and DeAngelo Williams will be the ROY this year.

Let's see.

I don't think it'll be Reggie Bush cause he won't be starting

It's also normally harder I think for a defensivce player to get it.

I'm gonna say Vernon Davis or DeAngelo Williams

They do an Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Last year, it was Cadillac and Shawn Merriman.

Offensive-Vernon Davis

Defensive-Jimmy Williams

Not bad picks ...

I believe that Jeremy Shockey won it as a TE a few years back and Vernon Davis should be a go-to-guy right off the bat with the 49ers.

I liked Jimmy Williams in the draft and would have liked to see him at safety playing next to Madieu Williams but I believe that we are going to be more than happy with the guy we got (Johnathan Joseph) at CB.

BTW Hines86Ward ...

Just out of curiosity, which game is that clip you use for an avatar from ?

Did Ward draw a flag on the play ?

I don't even remember when Hines did that in all honesty. I asked some guy to make me an avatar, and he sent that back to me.

I've seen it before... It looks to me like something that lasted maybe half a second, but with slow motion it looks more derogatory.

Do you know what game it happened in? Because I never seen anything of it before I got it sent to me

I haven't missed a Steelers game in 5-6 years, and I don't remember that happening....

I wasn't thinking about it being derogatory.

Although it is ...

There is no excuse for grabbing a player's facemask and bouncing his head into the ground while he is flat on his back.

Regardless of the duration, that is a dirty play by any standard and I was wondering if it even so much as drew a flag from the officials.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But since you mentioned it ...

As derogatory & disrespectful as it is to the Bengals, in all truth it is even more derogatory toward that scumbag-team itself, who has to rely on such cowardly acts, in order to try to maintain their own bulls**t-self-proclaimed-image of being more physical than anyone else, and toward the NFL as a League, for letting then get away with their cowardly acts time and time again just because they are "The Steelers".

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is not just Football ...

It is yet another example of a team that makes it's living and trys to establish it's reputation with cheap-shots and with petty little bulls**t after the play.

Of a team that will repeatedly kick/knee a player who is down and trying to get up after a play, and then run and hide behind the ref when that player does get up.

Of a team who's coach lobbies the officials, with the notion that they have to allow his team to be "physical", and who crys like a little girl if they ever do dare to flag his players (like they SHOULD) for the dirty little bulls**t and cheap-shots that they do.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is the action of a p***y ...

Only Steelers fans could think that it speaks well of their team and only a moron would believe that they really are somehow more physical than everybody else in the NFL.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry if I piss anybody off ...

That is not really my intention, I am just sick and tired of the Steelers playing the game as dirty as possible and then being dumb enough to actually be proud of it.

I have lost all respect for them ...

Offense - Joseph Addai or Vernon Davis

Defense - Michael Huff or D'Qwell Jackson (Odell Thurman type year)

Addai and Jackson are good picks.

I don't know that Davis will have enough around him to put up great #'s for a while.

Yeaahhh I was kind've iffy about picking Davis as my second choice on that one, but I kinda thought that if Jeremy Shocky could do it, then there's a good chance that Davis could somehow pull it off, I think he's better coming out of college than Kellen Winslow was.

If not for Jackson's size, then he'd be a first round pick, and you know that at the position he's playing (Middle Linebacker) he's going to rack up really good numbers.

He reminds me of Odell Thurman a lot, he only dropped in the draft because of off the field problems, and so far he's been a success.
