Stripes
http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9408807/1 They give us a predictable B. Forget that, check out who they called our best pick!

ShulaSteakhouse
Cincinnati BengalsBest pick: Third-round pick Frostee Rucker is a better player than many think. He was inconsistent at times at USC, but he has pass-rush skills that the Bengals will come to like a lot.Worst pick: Second-round pick Andrew Whitworth is a huge man, but there is some concern as to whether he can handle speed rushers on the next level. -------------------------------
walshfan
I dont see a problem with Frostee either... He led the Trojan defense with 14 tackles for losses and 6 1/2 sacks to boot....
BTG
LMAO....Matt Millen can do no right. Had he drafted a QB, he'd have been blasted. He drafted an impact OLB...he still gets blasted. He is the Isiah Thomas of the NFL.
Kazkal
Lions should have got A+ for simply not taking WR in the 1st rnd
Green 66
Wow we get love from other people yet bengal fans can't accept we did goodCould it be that we have high expectations for all aspects of this team, due to the success on the field last year? that said we only got a C on the ESPN rating for the "Breck Girl"Mike GreenWaynesville Ohio

skyline
I agree with a B to B- overall, but how they can say that Whitworth is our worst pick is beyond me...
BigBenBlows
Overall I guess a B is a fair grade. Not really suprised the Cardinals got an A+. I think they had an excellent draft.
DC_Bengals_Fan
I think a lot of these national feeds don't pay attention to team need. In other words, none of the picks were inherently terrible. It's just that they didn't do a great job of addressing need.Oh well, to hell with it. We'll see in a few months how good most of these guys are, or if they're on the team. derekshank
Overall I guess a B is a fair grade. Not really suprised the Cardinals got an A+. I think they had an excellent draft. It certainly looks that way... but the real success in a draft takes place on the second day. This is why we struggled for so long with our smaller scouting staff... and despite the Lions getting an A+ because of the first day of their draft two years ago, they continue to struggle. I'm all about the second day of the draft now. And even the "experts" don't really have enough knowledge to judge the entire draft with this in mind. AMC
The tone of this draft was so different for the Bengals than in the past. We have officially started drafting for depth and the future. Just improving depth on a playoff team. We are sure not used to that. Time to get used to a new philosophy. When you look at the Bengals in 2-3 years this draft makes a ton of sense. HoosierCat
Wow we get love from other people yet bengal fans can't accept we did goodActually, most fans seem fine wth the draft, check the draft grade thread. Fan consensus seems to be about a B-, which is right in line with all the media grades I've seen. For example, my local paper, the NJ Star-Ledger, gave the Bengals a B-, the NY Post gave us a B, and Pompous over at the Sporting News gave us a C.In terms of fan freak-out level, this has to be the quietest draft since '03. HoTbOy
I was surprised to see a B grade, but from what I have been reading we have some good players, just not heard of alot...I hope the guys with character issues learned from the CHenry situation...this is a new era in Bengaldom drafting for depth and not need... DontPushMe
What? How could Frostee be our best pick? TJ hasnt heard of him!
HoTbOy
This came from Yahoo Sports... High marks – Johnathan Joseph gives the Bengals a player to eventually replace Tory James. Joseph is a raw athlete who will need to be eased into the defensive game plan. Andrew Whitworth gives the Bengals depth at tackle and another player to compete for the right tackle spot down the line when Willie Anderson retires. Reggie McNeal is an intriguing pick in the sixth round, especially if the Bengals can develop him into a wideout. Low marks – Tight end was never addressed. And the Bengals took another round of big character risks in Frostee Rucker and A.J. Nicholson. It's become a trend with Marvin Lewis' drafts. Nicholson is a good talent value in the fifth round, but Rucker seems to be a reach in the third. He's a one-move guy who struggles against aggressive offensive linemen. Domata Peko appeared to be another stretch in the fourth round; some teams had him rated as low as the seventh. Final grade: C
