I like the pick too gives us some more depth at DB, plus allows us to have continuation at the position when James, and Deltha leave or retire. Anyone else get mad at the Steeler commercial following our pick?

Pros: Joseph is a good-sized athlete with top measureables that give him a chance to become a top-flight NFL cornerback. He surprisingly declared for the draft after a short college career. He combines good size, athletic ability, very good ball skills and closing speed. He has a very good size-to-speed ratio and shows above average recovery speed. He is an alert, aware corner that uses his size, natural speed and strength well in coverage. He has a smooth backpedal and is fluid in his turns. He sticks tight to the receiver and can run deep and shadow the receiver with the ability to jump and make a play. He has soft natural hands and can make the key interception. In run support, he is able to come up and make the tackle. He has the talent to be an effective special teams player with good tackling skills.

Cons: He can attempt to make too many plays and be reckless. He has limited experience in zone coverage that may limit the defense he can play in early in his career. He probably needs a basic coverage to be effective early in his career.

Numbers: At the Combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.32 seconds with a split of 1.50 seconds for the first 10 yards. He had a 37” vertical jump, 10’3” broad jump with 15 reps in the 225-pound bench press and performed well in the agility drills.
