Kazkal
What is the order you'd take them in and why?Antonio Cromartie seems boom or bust Tye hill Short but aren't alot of corners under 6'0 I know one of our probowlers is Jimmy williams some character issues but nothing wrong with being cocky ask chad damn forgot Jonathan Joseph
ArmyBengal
Cromartie- Even with the injury still came back to run 4.4 40's and has a 40 something vert. He's a BIG corner and I think he projects well.Williams- Big and fast as well, but boy what an attitude. If he could control that, I would like him a lot more.Hill- I'm not that big on this guy at all.WHODEY !!!
AGrizzlyBaer
the one knock i haveon cromartie is that it is all potentional i mean it could be that he will be the next big thing, or a complete bust. i just dont know
ArmyBengal
Absolutely right about the boom bust factor, but I would still take my chance on Cromartie, because he wouldn't be expected to be a starter this year and could be coached up even more.On that note, I still say next to the need for depth and replacement at CB we need a PASS RUSH something fierce !!!WHODEY !!! Stripes
Gimme Cromartie.
WretchedOne
Where's Marshall?Marshall > Cromartie.Marshall has actually been a starter for 2 years. Marshall is MUCH better in run support, a better tackler, more aggressive, same knack for making the "big" play.Marshall > HillI just really hate Hill's height, again Marshall has the run game edge over Hill.Marshall > WilliamsMarshall is not the "character" problem that Williams has the potential to turn into. Marshall comes from a great coached program who's carried a 3.0 GPA throughout college.
Stripes
I hope we don't draft a corner based on his run support skills. We need someone that can cover man to man. I'm more confident in Cromartie's ability to do that than Marshall's. Hill looks very good as well, though I doubt he'll be around when we pick. His size doesn't worry me too much except in the red zone. Williams would be alright as well, as I never really buy into the character questions as much as most. NJ29
Marshall > CromartieNo.Marshall > HillNo.Marshall > WilliamsNo.This will suprise a lot of people, but I didn't vote for Cromartie. I just think that Tye Hill fits the team better than the others.
Whur CHad At?
Sorry Wretchd, but you can keep pimping him but nobody cares...trust me I know I would vote no to all of them actually...just depends who is still on the board.
HoosierCat
Sorry, fellas, but I'm sticking with Ashton "shake shake shake" Youbouty.Kid has all the talent in the world and his list of negatives reads like Deltha O'Neal's when we plucked him from Denver. And we all know what Marvin did with him.
schweinhart
Easily Cromartie because you got one DB with the best shot to play man corner, slot versus WRs or TE/H-Backs or interchangeable safety. Bu that may be why he could end up going earlier than either Hill or Williams.
redsbengalsbucks
I would have to say Whitner is the best DB choice, he is the Lewis kind of guy, he can play safety and CB. He tackles well and is a smart kid with good character. He could be as good as Maykillu has turned out to be. Remember that some consider Williams to be our best cover corner as well as the starting free safety, with Whitner in the fold Williams could be used as CB if needed. ArmyBengal
I'm just not a fan of taking a safety in the 1st... Just my opinion, but I think it could be addressed later. Then again, I'm not going to be upset with anything on the defensive side of the ball come draft day as long as we don't take Youboty. I'm an OSU fan, but am not a fan of his. I think he should have stayed another year...Oh yeah, gimme Cromartie if we take a CB !!! (be there be there be there)WHODEY !!!
redsbengalsbucks
I have no problem with Cromartie, I just feel that an interchangable S/CB is what Lewis maybe inclined to take.
BlainThePain
I'm glad to see more people finally voting for Tye Hill. He's my favorite DB in the draft and I'm surprised that he doesn't have a bigger following here.
derekshank
I'm going to have to go with Whitner too. He's a safety that is great in the running game but excels in man to man coverage. Seriously... who does that? He is a hard hitting safety, that runs and covers, and can play CB? These kinds of guys don't come around every year.Remember... the big jump in the Colts defense had a lot to do with their hard hitting safeties. Having Madieu and Dexter is a good start, but Whitner would provide a huge boost... and knowing that Whitner can play CB if we have injury issues provides great depth for our entire secondary... not just at CB or S. It's a smart pick, and I'm all for it.
