ArmyBengal
Here's the link...http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5191It's believed he signed for $585,000 with a $40,000 bonus in a deal that counts $465,000 against the salary cap. Stripes
Nice, I always liked Kenny Watson. He should be a very good 3rd stringer for us. He was already a solid backup during Perry's rookie year.

turningpoint
i think we could of found a better one in the 5th rd of the draft for a ton cheaper.

What a coincidence. If you ignore the wasted 1st round draft pick, and why should you, the above figures are exactly what Chris Perry is worth. ShulaSteakhouse
i think we could of found a better one in the 5th rd of the draft for a ton cheaper. What he said, ecspecially since Watson is coming off of an injury. It's clear Marvin wants "his guys" on the field. For some reason I see one interior o-lineman, maybe a QB in the draft, and a boatload of defense. The one thing you can say about this team, is that they were 11-5 and literally not losing anyone - no one, and of course should improve, if Palmer can come back and play just as well if not better.Just seems like money that could be used for Steinbach, Willie or Levi. But we'll probably draft somebody better.Watson is reliable. And he's not expensive. Good signing.

Spor_tees
Bengals are now set at power back... Rudi and Quincy Wilsonversatile back..Perry and Watson...AND Jeremi Johnson hopefully...but the Bengals will never carry that many RB's on thier roster, so someone will be the odd man out. Hopefully we trade Perry to the Colts for their first round pick. R.I.P. 2-Carry Perry

ArmyBengal
Unfortunately this makes me think the Quincy is the one who goes back to the practice squad. I would love to see him get some time, but with the depth we have, I just don't see it happening. I see him going to another team before long as he fits the mold of Rudi. Perry goes nowhere like it or not. I love our RB corps...WHODEY !!!
cincy9275
Watson and steward are mostly special teams they won't see that much playing time in the offense . steward may depending on who we draft Watson is playing behind Johnson and perry and would only get any significant touches is only if perry goes down again. which bring up another question who will be our kick returner . Chattman and tab or tab and Watson . Watson is reliable but not a play maker in the return game . where Chattman and tab are . but will the coaches prefer Watson size over Chattmans on kick returns ? Unless we get someone in the late rounds of the draft that can be a good returner, then I think it'll just be Tab back there. Chatman's return skills are better suited for the punting game, where he will likely replace Ratliff. Watson is a nice backup returner though.
