NJ29
He ran a 4.33 in a system that is historically .8 seconds slow! So 4.33 = 4.21!
ArmyBengal
Well, unless Houston does something to improve that o-line, Bush will not be the savior of that team. I think with the top pick in the 2nd and the two top picks in the 3rd, they can address that problem. Bush and the revamped o-line will take a couple years, but it's a move in the right direction for them. Now, if only Carr has the ability to perform at his potential...WHODEY !!! TJJackson
Dunno - there was this running back who played for Detroit, roughly the same weight, also played at a time when the Lions offensive line wasn't so good....name was Barry something......he managed to have himself a decent career running the ball despite the lack of other offensive threats:-)

Stripes
Good numbers as expected from Bush. I still say, now with more fervor, that the Texans need to grab him.

He very well may break all the records, but until then, I hate to see any RB compared to Sanders. It's just unfair...WHODEY !!!
HairOnFire
He will still be a bust...JUST WATCHim thinking white will be one more then bush. white is a product of coming in after bush and playing behind that usc line I agree. White has a soft flabby looking body and he performed horribly lifting weights. To me he looks like one of those backs who suddenly loose all of their power in the pros. BTW, Darnell Bing did what he had to do on pro day. His numbers aren't eye popping, but they're goood for a player his size, and my morning paper said he's had very good visits with the Patriots and 49'ers the last two days. Had a 10-foot-5 long jump, 38-inch vertical jump, and 21 lifts. Those numbers look a whole lot better than what might have been expected. He helped himself a great deal just on those measurables. Gotta think he made his case to be selected no later than the 2nd round. Range and recovery should still be an issue with Bing, but he's a hitter and those kind of numbers stack up with him being a true SS rather than some kind of S/LB tweener. Somehow he jumped 4 inches higher than the combine (34 to 38) and added 4 more reps (17 to 21).And to add confusion about whether or not the electronic times are slower or not here's a report about Bush's time:Bush was electronically clocked at 4.33 in the 40-yard dash, but when about 50 scouts gathered after the timed workouts to compare notes, the fastest anyone had hand-timed Bush was at 4.39. Most had him in the low 4.4s. http://www.sbsun.com/usc/ci_3666543
AGrizzlyBaer
a quick comment i saw on eastcoastsports The USC Pro Day took center stage on Sunday as Scouts and NFL personnel from around the country gathered in Southern California for the event...as expected Reggie Bush put on a show displaying his speed, athletic ability and explosiveness in the workout...his running mate LenDale White didn't fare as well...White weighed in at 244 pounds which is 6 pounds heavier then his Combine weight which set off a red flag in itself since a number of prospects who declined to run at Indy but were measured and weighed at the combine weighed less at their Pro Day to give themselves an advantage in the forty yard dash...White did only one workout - the bench press and turned in a dissapointing 15 reps at 225 which is considered below average for a big back...then to put icying on the cake White told the Scouts he wasn't going to run or participate in the rest of the drills due to a hamstring injury which had the Scouts snickering....the Scouts are now questioning White's work ethic and his mindset on what should have been the single most important day of his life...the Scouts and NFL teams don't have a true time on White which amoung other things mentioned will send his stock into a freefall in the next two weeks...White told the teams in attendance that he's planning another individual workout which will be scheduled the week before the Draft...stay tuned! The_Next_Big_Thing
Huston will shock everyone and trade down to the 3pk and pick Brick Ferguson. That's no shocker. That's what they SHOULD be doing. Trade down, pick D'brick HOUSE, 'cause he's mighty mighty....Then with the extra 2nd rounder they can probably get the best guard, the best center, and another good tackle all on day one.FYI: Winston Justice just blew scouts away at the USC Pro Day apparently. I know what you're saying, but Bing's numbers are exactly what I expected. I argued several months ago that running a 4.5 anything is cooking with gas for a player of Bing's size, and IMO all he's done is produce very good, but not great, speed numbers after gaining about 5-7 lbs of weight. And most importantly, it's a weight he carries naturally as both of my local Los Angeles area papers claimed pro scouts were very impressed with Bing's level of fitness. Frankly, I think Bing suffers in comparison to the SS he replaced, Troy Polomalu, but I've never believed the stuff about him falling to the 3rd round, and I'll be shocked if it actually happens. Still, much of where he goes depends on the strong safeties who are more interchangeable and who should be ahead of him -- Huff, Whitner and Bullocks with Ko also possibly in the mix. That could put him as the 5th safety in the draft, which still smacks of 3rd round. But with Huff and Whitner in contention for corner and Ko maybe not viewed as SS material, that could put Bing in a 1-2 battle with Bullocks as true strong safeties. Given your mention of the Pats and 49ers interested in Bing, that could put him in the area of #37 to 52 or #52 to 68 for now. I'd be shocked if the Pats look at Bing earlier than the 2nd, but time will tell. No question they've got to replace Rodney Harrison sooner or later and maybe a whole lot sooner than later. So far they've done nothing to address the position.
