TJJackson
from kffl-------Packers | Roman updateSat, 25 Mar 2006 11:56:16 -0800Pete Dougherty, of PackersNews.com, reports Green Bay Packers SS Mark Roman is not taking part in the team's offseason workout program in protest of the team signing SS Marquand Manuel to replace him. Joel Segal, Roman's agent, has not said if Roman asked the team to release him.-------here's a free clue, Mark: when a team sets out to replace you, you work HARDER rather than LESS because 1) you need to prove you're better than your so-called replacement, and 2) you want to be in the best position possible to catch on with another team, rather than being seen as lazy, disruptive, or a malcontent

Did Marquand ever start a game? Seriously I don't remember.

BigBenBlows
Why do you all hate #34 KK sooooooo much? I think he is a helluva good player for the money their paying him. Much much better Oahsuckme!
TJJackson
I like KK for what he is...a hard working low paid player who gives it his all
ArmyBengal
I'd like to see KK more for what he's paid to do and that's be depth on the bench. No, I don't think he's good and regardless that he's underpaid and played so many games is not an argument for him being a good player. Sorry to step on toes, but I just don't view him as a good player. I view him as a player that had to step in when others went down. That does not make him a good player, that makes him the only option.WHODEY !!!
The_Next_Big_Thing
If you don't see KK as a good player, you'e out of your mind. Not only did he step in, but he has a nose for the ball and creates turnovers. Sure, he isn't the best tackler in the league, and sometimes he gets burnt. But you EXPECT THAT FROM A FREAKING BACKUP. Stripes
I'd call KK a "good backup", but not a "good player." He is valuable depth and I hope he stays put for a while longer, but he is by no means starter material.

TNBT, I love your loyalty to KK, really I do and I don't say these things just to spin you up, but you said it yourself... He isn't the best tackler and he gets burnt. I will give him this, IF he was teamed up with someone besides OHiSuckAlote, his weaknesses might not be so exaggerated, but all in all just because he stepped in at little pay to start games for us does not make him a good player. There was no other option, he was the bottom of the barrel. We should probably agree to disagree on this one !!! WHODEY !!!
BigBenBlows
If KK sucks as bad Army Bengal says then why does Marvin keep him around? Apparently he sees something in him that you just don't see. Sorry Army Bengal I think your in the minority on this one.

Apparently he sees something in him that you just don't see. Sorry Army Bengal I think your in the minority on this one. Ok, check yourself here... I have NEVER said KK sucks. I've stated I don't think he's a good enough player to be a starter on this or any other team. He's a career backup at best, that's what he gets paid to do. If he's on the field for any period of time (and coupled with a turd) you get what you got last year. This is simple to see unless you are satified with the production you got out of our secondary last year. Especially in the second half of the season. If being in the minority means you don't like poor production out of your starters, than fine, I'm in the minority. Once again, some are infatuated with the fact that he's a low paid player who has started many games, that in and of itself does not make him a good player. There was no other option at that point. That's like saying Artichokes taste great raw when there is nothing else to eat. No, they still taste like sh*t, but you will eat whatever is there if you are hungry enough...WHODEY !!! bengalindian
No one said KK sucks. He performed to his best last year, and his best is not good enough to warrant a starting job on an injury-free team. I admire KK for what he did, to step and play 16 games when you expect to be backing up is pretty damn respectable. Still, he has some weaknesses in his game that show why he isn't a starter. BigBenBlows
Look I agree KK is a backup and probably should stay a backup or on Nickel down plays. But I still think he done pretty good for what we had been dealt in our shoddy secondary. Now if we were talking about Ohasuckme then I would agree, bench him or cut his ass now. semiotter
O.K here is the stats for the player you all say sucks and isnt a good starter....Was second in tackles on the team behind Odell(98) and KK was (87), had 24 assits, 1 sack, 3 fumble rec., and had 3 ints. I will take KK on my team any time. Like some of you say he gets burnt some but tell me who doesnt in this game? Because KK does give 100% and Marvin has kept him around since he has been here. I dont know what some of you guys want Geezzzzz
