BTG
The Arizona Cardinals ... [have] agreed to a 4-year contract with running back Edgerrin James. In accordance to team policy terms of the deal were not disclosed. Here's a link to the story, though I wouldn't recommend clicking it. Maneuvering around the Cardinals' website is like trying to wade through mud...really thick mud.

BTG
Damn, those Cards are gonna be dangerous next yearI also wouldn't be surprised to see them make a serious run at Daunte Culpepper if he doesn't get traded soon. Despite how much talent they have at the skill positions, Warner is not the answer at QB. They won't win more than nine or ten games with him because he's so vulnerable against any type of pressure.Besides, imagine that offense: Edge, Boldin, Fitz, & Pepper. Scary. Stripes
If the Seahawks pull the perennial Superbowl loser flop act, then the Cardinals will be in prime position to win that division... I am truely amazed by this signing... props to Edge as well for giving them a chance.

BengalszoneBilly
Edge a Cardinal? Jeeze.. they are going to be a force this year (I said that last year though).Don't feel bad. So did I. As far as James coming to Arizona, there will be much rejoicing out here in the deserts of Arizona. (Although I'm buried under 10 inches of freakin' SNOW right now!! WTF!?!) There hasn't been much talk about Dante though. I mean they just signed Warner, so where's the need? They remain my favorite NFC team. BengalszoneBilly
They still need a O-line so inless their trading up for Dbrick ,trading for bently and get top Oline in 2nd round Dennis Green acknowleges that here:The Arizona Cardinals took the first step in accomplishing many of their offseason goals mid-February when they re-signed quarterback Kurt Warner to a 3-year deal. With free agency scheduled to begin on March 9th at 12:01 a.m. ET, the Cardinals organization will look to achieve more of their offseason objectives in the coming weeks during the NFL’s free agency period. The Cardinals are optimistic going into free agency and will look to add key position players in their efforts to build a winning program. “I feel good because we don’t have a lot of huge concerns going into free agency,” stated Graves. “We’ve managed our cap carefully and we’re at a point now where we have a lot of our key players under contract for years down the road and it is a good feeling to have. I feel real good about the future of this offseason and what the possibilities may be for our football team.” Since the arrival of Dennis Green and his staff the Arizona Cardinals have had a great deal of success in free agency. “Unrestricted free agency went real well for us two years ago,” said Cardinals Head Coach Dennis Green. “We got a top line player in Bertrand Berry and then we thought we had a solid year last year. We think Chike Okeafor and Oliver Ross will play a lot better this year. It took them a little while to get going and did not have the same impact that Bertrand Berry had but I think they will have that impact this year. Kurt Warner had that kind of success last year so.” “We want to maintain the same kind of effort and consistency that we have had in free agency the last couple of years,” added Graves. “We are somewhat skewed towards the offense going into free agency I don’t think that is any secret. But again wherever we have the opportunity to try to improve our football team, we’re going to try to do it.” Although the offensive side of the ball is a priority, the Cardinals will make any changes necessary in order to progress the program. “We’re not closing the door on anything on respect to improvement,” continued Graves. “Last year we had the number one passing offense in the league. We need to improve our running game and we have to start up front. This organization has taken steps in the offseason to address concerns that we had with the offensive productivity and we’ll continue to do that. We know that is an area we need to improve in if we’re going to be a good football team.” The Cardinals defense finished eighth in the league last season the organization will also look to add to the young and talented defense. Although the organization will not name anyone specific, they are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. “There are some very good players out there across the board and we’ve always been very strategic in approach and so we’ll continue to do that,” Green said. “We have a field of guys on our team that we’re hoping to get something done with, but when free agency kicks in then it’s wide open. There will be some good players because there are some players who their teams had free reign up until March 6th. We hope to take advantage of that.” “For us it is all about opportunity,” added Graves. “Whether it be in free agency or in the draft, we have a chance to improve the team that we have. We feel good about the road that we’re on and it is all looking positive.”

The_Next_Big_Thing
Damn, those Cards are gonna be dangerous next yearThey still have a crappy offensive line and a crappy QB situation. They aren't going to be that dangerous.
ArmyBengal
Yep, I thought last year was going to be better for the Cardinals as well. We will see how this will work out for them. Another QB and an upgraded O-line would be huge for them. I guess all those having them taking Lendale White will want to relook that pick. Could they be trading up for a QB ??? Hmmmmm...WHODEY !!! They aren't going to be that dangerous.Offensive line yes, I agree. They couldn't open a hole for a runner big enough to make a squeaky fart. But how the hell do you consider the whopping 4549 combined passing yards Kurt Warner and Josh McCown shared as the Cardinals QB's a crappy quarterback situation!?! Going by your "Crap-ometer," every team in the ENTIRE NFL had a crappy QB situation, because no team threw for more yards in 2005 than Arizona! If you want to re-calibrate your QB crapometer, use these teams quarterback situations:
