I can't believe this guy has as many fans as he does. I'll give him props though - I know when I go the Red's games this summer I'll be booing Bonds when he's in town.

In conjunction of some idiot throwing around witch-hunt theories of everyone doing steriods in MLB, SI ran a cover story on Bonds.

Got some anger management issues?! I would have expected that a "professional" writer wouldn't have to stoop to name calling. Grow up or move to the Browns discussion forum.

No, actually I'm a pretty relaxed and calm person. But when someone throws names out for no reason, hence my witch-hunt reference, then that's just idiotic -- hence my idiot reference. I don’t have a problem with you, nor do I have a problem with your suggestion that I should “grow up or move to the Browns discussion forum” – I guess that’s supposed to be an insult.

You made an idiot statement and I called you out on it. Nothing more.

Big Friggin Deal. This is a witch hunt. Sometimes I think players and media just think fans are stupid. I still don't think this confirms anything.

I'm so sick of steriods. Now, owners and MLB execs just shrug their shoulders "We had no idea this was going on" Yeah right.

Baseball just continues to smear egg all over their own face.

Fottball better not f**k up and get a labor deal done. I might shoot myself if baseball becomes overly popular agian.

BB7, don't worry, we are here for you man. At least you are able to admit your problem !!! :D

Seriously though, call me a hater or whatever, but I just can't stand Bonds monkeyass and think it will be a sad day when he breaks the HR record. F*CK HIM !!!

Oh yeah, my opinons were formed long before any allegations of steroid use. Bonds=Asshat

I saw the words "Pink Floyd" and had to quote somehow...

Please shift your gaze (as resident poster TJJackson likes to say) over to the picture left of this post... :sure:

WHile I was reading Bill Simmons mailbag I found this and I completely agree with this sentiment

Q: I'm sorry, but does Keith Olbermann know what he's saying when he says that unless Barry Bonds sues, his records will be expunged? Are you kidding me? If he sues, he has every single leg to stand on. At no point were steroids illegal in baseball until after he had played all of his "steroid-enhanced seasons." Although I am a Giants fan, every point I have made is legally correct. According to the new book, Bonds was still a first-ballot Hall of Famer before '98. Are you telling me that with or without drugs he still wasn't?

-- Cameron, Hermosa Beach, Calif.

SG: I couldn't agree more. What Bonds did made him unheroic and unlikable, but he wasn't a cheater. He took advantage of a bad system and maximized all the loopholes that were already in place -- loopholes that existed because the commissioner's office and players' union were more than happy to look the other way while the offensive explosion in the late-'90s rejuvenated the nation's interest in baseball. Sure, Bonds ruined his body and his reputation in the process, and he'll be lucky to make it to 60 years old, and he's going to be remembered as the Hall of Fame Bad Guy of his generation … but it's tough to blame someone for breaking the rules when nobody was policing those same rules. His records should stay.

Why is that good? Bonds get to be the scapegoat for years and years of player abuse. Bulls**t. <_<

Just like I said, a witch hunt to help keep focus off the real problem, MLB. <_<

I said it once, I'll say it again. Don't hate the playa, hate the game"

I wonder if they'll investigate the season McGwire and Sosa "saved baseball" <_<

I don't hate Barry Bonds the "playa," meaning before he did steroids in his Pittsburgh era. I hate the CHEATER/DRUG ABUSER he became afterwards in 'Frisco. Something totally worthy of anyones hate. :(

I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing that you can't just target Bonds when it was rampant in the game, and we really need to look at the owners(which would include old Dubya) and the league as to why they just let this happen. YOu can't really believe they just didn't know. That's why I don't think they'll investigate Bonds cause the ultimate finger will point back to Selig.

Fine. Target all the sons of b**ches! I have no problem with the powerbrokers of baseball, (i.e. ownership/management) bites the big one too! Anyone who keeps out my favorite "playa" of all time for something that didn't harm the game one iota deserve all the d**k they can swallow!
