volcom69
Well on bengals.com there saying we might just sign a backup qb and use the rest of the money to sign our o-line. I want all our o-line back but they also need much help on d-line and safty and it seems we never go after anyone everyyear come to freeagancy im always so bored just one year i would love not to be bored and get some big names in here. I hope im wrong and i hope they get new guys in here to help out but i dont know i guess we will see. What do u guys think
Whur CHad At?
FA can be boring...but with the situation we are in now you have to play it safe, and you can't give these guys huge contracts. Most of the time FA's don't pan out...that is why we build on the draft and not FA. We will sign a QB, but also expect to sign Sam Adams too, and if Marvin really would like to pursue him, Lavar Arrington..but don't expect that to happen! ArmyBengal
Can't see any big names coming here. Well, at least big names that have many years ahead of them and costing a buttload of cash. Sam Adams would have been huge for us two or three years ago, now he's just an upgrade at best. Par for the course for the Bengals. I can't say as this bothers me though, because we don't overspend for the overspent. Our D is young and fast and while I'm still not convinced they are close to "dominant", they are improving...WHODEY !!!
benglsdrumr
Would Komeatu be worth pursuing? He's young (sort of) and he's huge! That's just about all I know about him. Once I saw his height and weight, i started drooling...if someone who's more educated than me on the Komeatu subject, PLEASE tell me why he wouldn't be a great pickup (and an obvious upgrade to the defensive line/hole). Stripes
Boring offseasons are always pretty...boring. Still, the last three seasons, they've produced improved Bengals teams, and I don't mind the prospect of that continuing.benglsdrumr: Kemoatu is one of my favorite free agent possibilities. I think he'd come relatively cheap and be productive.
The_Next_Big_Thing
Boring? Have you been paying attention to the league? It's a chaotic offseason so far. Will we sign a bunch of free agents from other teams? No. Will anyone? Probably not given the status of the league right now. Will we have an interesting draft? Yes.Will we continue to get better each year and maintain continuity? Yes.

HairOnFire
Picture a Bengal fan sleeping under a shady tree. A bystander walking past the tree sees the Bengal fan and wonders if the sleeping fan might actually be dead. So the bystander picks up a long stick and gently prods the slumbering fanatic. The Bengal fan suddenly awakens, screaming loudly...."This offseason sucks. The Bengals never do anything in free agency. I want something vague, but very shiny." The bystander begins to laugh. "Relax friend, there's no reason to complain about something that hasn't even started. Why assume the worst? Why don't you hold unto your complaints until the Bengals actually do something, then judge their moves based upon whatever merit they might have?" The Bengal fan considers the thoughtful words of the bystander for a brief moment, then leaps up...grabbing the stick out of the hand of the startled stranger. He quickly beats the bystander to death. "That'll teach ya'." Satisfied, the Bengal fan lies down once again and in no time at all returns to his angry sleep. The angry Bengals fan knew well what to expect, both from the Bengals and the bystander. After another dormant offseason, and further complaints from that Bengals fan, the bystander would have scolded him for questioning the motives of a team already on the rise. The bystander is dead. The_Next_Big_Thing
And the bandwagon is still parked over on the bridge. Feel free to jump off if you want to complain about no free agent signings before free agency even starts...

Just seeing if u guys think they are or not this year.Gotcha, volcom. I assume they'll sign at least somebody, but I doubt it'll be anybody with a big name. A mid-tier player or two is likely. Hopefully they are at least an improvement over the likes of signing a Bryan Robinson.
bengalsrz
It has been a pretty boring off season, for the Bengals at least, the whole cap thing has been pretty chaotic though.
BengalszoneBilly
Compared to the 11-5 record of last season, there is no way the off season can be considered anything but boring!
Whur CHad At?
I like the off-season, I just like the excitement about the Draft and Free Agency. Even though we never do anything in FA, it is still fun to see where everyone goes, and how overpaid they are
ArmyBengal
I just LOVE the pre-draft hype and getting the war-room together at my buddies place and having a weekend draft bash !!!
