Loss being the Lions?
-
They have had shaky starts in the first 6 weeks since Burrow has been here, again, hoping they change it up this year but until that happens, it’s expect the worst and hope for the best.
-
That would be truly sweet. The best start since they went 8-0 with Dalton.
-
(Psssst). AMPHAR . . . in all seriousness, the statement about marrying into the Brown family was a knock ON the Brown family pocketing the money rather than spending it on the franchise. You might have missed that based on your cursing rant!
-
What is the predicted record after week 6?
-
You kiss your mother with that mouth?
-
My faith for this team is ‘expect the worst and hope for the best’. If that don’t sit right with you AB, that’s YOUR problem!
-
Better wait until at least middle of October HC. Their track record the first 6 weeks hasn’t been stellar in the last 5 years or so!
-
Come on Army, you need SOME place to go to piss and moan when the eggs are laid!!! I’m sure Mrs A or Jr don’t want to hear it, year after year!
-
Or marry into the Brown family and become rich?
-
Yes, Burrow said he wanted to be like the Eagles, not the Brown family, which only proves the point, and their silence speaks volumes! Of course I’d love to see a Lombardi at Paycor or whatever or wherever the stadium ends up, but I’m also a realist! I’ve watched this franchise from day one at the age of 15. You see the Chiefs do what they do but they had amazing talent, unlike the Eagles, who have had talent but not on the level the Chiefs and Bengals had and still beat the snot out of the Chiefs! You can go on and on about all the other teams and the ups and downs and the obvious fact that only one team wins the SB every year etc etc ad nauseum, but NO other team have lost 5 games scoring 38+ points in a season and NO other team has had the passing leader, the sack leader, and triple crown receiver, and didn’t even make the playoffs!! Still a Reds and Bengals fan to my last breath. But, as a Bengals fan I’ve also learned to expect the worse and hope for the best BECAUSE of who the Brown family is.
-
A PS added. I forgot to mention PLUS, they drafted 2 rookies who are HOLDING OUT from signing!! Two guys who got not only a free education but also got paid for it, but have yet to prove their worth as NFL players, but yet are unsigned! ONLY in Cincinnati! LOL

Let’s see if I have all the facts. Last year this franchise lost 5 games where they scored 38+ points, which has never happened in the NFL before. They had the NFL Passing Leader, Sack Leader, and Triple Crown Receiver and didn’t make the playoffs, which has never happened in the NFL before! They IMMEDIATELY fired the DC and few other coaches one day AFTER the season, which THIS franchise has never done before. Hired a well respected top DC from college. They EXTEND 2 top receivers that they already HAD LAST YEAR, but won’t pay the NFL sack leader, a cornerstone of the defense, which was horrible last year, even though they cleaned out the defensive coaching staff. Yet . . . . there are rumblings about them wanting to be more like the Eagles, who have played in 3 SBs and won 2 in the last 7 years, with a lot less talent! The REAL problem is, IMHO, this family franchise will NEVER possess a Lombardi if they haven’t figured things out by now!
-
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. The POINT of the article that even HC made right here in the forums is until they start putting a team and coaches AROUND JB, the franchise will NEVER get a Lombardi! HC said what very few outside of this forum will admit, the only ‘SHOT’ this franchise has, is for the Brown family to sell! After 57 years, if anyone either isn't willing to come to terms with that OR just a glutton for punishment like HC admitted he was, KNOWING that its a 90% chance NOTHING changes . . . . good luck! Enough is enough!

Fans will keep buying memorabilia and tickets to games while the players keep making millions. Rosenbloom made 24 million on one game and in 1969 that was a nice chunk of change. I’ll bet Earl Morrall got a nice cut with a 6/17 day with 3 picks right to Jet defenders and a few others thrown to no one in particular! They just aren’t getting caught outside of the 1919 Chicago Blacksox scandal!
-
If anyone believes the WWF is a Lone Ranger. . . wake up and smell the farts! The owner of the Colts put 3M on the Jets at 8 to 1 in 1970. If people will eat bugs for money they’ll certainly throw a game or two.

This is year 57 that we look forward to the draft. Fans keep looking, the franchise keeps picking, Lombardi stays elusive! -
NFL fans claim Bengals vs Ravens game was 'rigged' as Amazon broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit questions ref call on live TV https://www.the-sun.com/sport/9652425/cincinnati-bengals-baltimore-ravens-pass-interference-call/ https://capperreviews.com/three-times-the-super-bowl-was-rigged-according-to-players-coaches-and-referees/ (Excerpt from above article concerning SB III) “Vince Lombardi went on record saying that the Jets had no chance of victory. The owner of the Colts (Caroll Rosenblum) was known to be a heavy gambler, and he died under mysterious circumstances in 1979. A large bet was placed in the City of Baltimore, and according to urban legend it was Rosenblum betting 3 Million on the Jets.” Anyone naive enough to NOT understand/believe the idol/power of money is foolish!

Really like the ex-Buckeye Stroud! Good QB but also has his priorities right and could give a rip WHO it annoys or ticks off! -

For me, 2021 was worse! To get a phantom holding call on Wilson, and then an untouched sack with Chase open on a go route away from a Lombardi, to break the curse, was brutal . . . at least for me! -

57 is correct, but you aren’t that old HC! Older than dirt here. So old I used to root for guys like Frank Ryan, Jimmie Brown, Leroy Kelly, Paul Warfield, Gene Hickerson, Lou Groza, etc etc -
