  1. Interesting take by Goodberry. He’s got his own QB-based schedule analysis system that’s worked for him. Thinks 11 wins is the floor, 14 the ceiling.
  2. Insert sad trombone sound here.
  3. Fake game schedule: Week 1: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Saturday, Aug. 10, 7:00pm ET) Week 2: @ Chicago Bears (Saturday, Aug. 17, 1:00pm ET) Week 3: vs. Indianapolis Colts (Friday, Aug. 22, 8:00pm ET) Might have to take a trip in to Soldier Field this August.
  4. I can't stand Rapien.
  5. I think they split with Cleveland and lose to Tennessee, but beat Dallas. So I'll go 13. If they don't at least hit 11 in the win column some heads need to roll.
  6. Yeah that three games in 10 days stretch in December is pretty brutal. Good news is that the first nine weeks are sedate as far as scheduling goes so they have a chance to pad the win column a bit before the grind hits. Looking at opponents, they should go at least 3-1 in September if they can shake their habit of poor starts. October is tougher, only the Giants look easy but they have to start beating some good teams sometime. November should be good for at least 2 wins. Dec/Jan looks at least 3-3. October looks like the key month to me.
  7. Update: Pitt even more hella screwed. KC game is week 17 and the end the season against us lol.
  8. Here’s the cbs sports leaks page if you want to track what’s out so far. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-schedule-release-live-updates-nfl-schedule-leaks-news-analysis-thanksgiving-and-christmas-games/live/ If the leaks are accurate Cincy is not playing on Thanksgiving, Black Friday or Christmas. Sked so far: Week 2 @ KC Week 6 @ Giants (SNF) https://nypost.com/2024/05/15/sports/giants-2024-nfl-schedule-dates-and-opponents-for-weeks-1-18/ Week 8 Philly Week 13 Pitt Week 17 Denver Week 18 @ Pitt Also Pitt getting megafucked this year apparently. Start with two straight road games, end with three of four on the road (vs us, Philly and Baltimore) and a final home game vs. KC.
  9. Sorry, Army, no Munich trip this year. Bengals blanked on overseas games. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40150773/jets-vikings-first-uk-game-jags-back-back-overseas
  10. The rumor this morning is Washington.
  11. The one you’ve all been waiting for…
  12. Yup. Burton and All signed today. Just Mims and Jenkins left.
  13. FWIW Reds are away and Pirates are home on NFL opening weekend.
  14. Well, week 1 won't be the Clowns. They're hosting Dallas (so it won't be the boys either...). https://www.nfl.com/news/2024-nfl-schedule-release-cowboys-to-play-at-browns-in-week-1-in-tom-brady-s-broadcasting-debut
  15. At this point, I'm just full GenX with Burrow and injuries: whatever.
  16. Coming out on Wednesday. Opener was announced today, Baltimore @ KC. So at least we know we aren't playing the Ravens right out of the gate. Given the league's preference to load division games up and the beginning and end of the season, I'd bet on either Cleveland or Pitt week 1.
  17. They have a few interesting prospects in house if you dig into the UDFAs. The linebacker Casey comes in with “special teams ace” already tattooed on him. The other LB, whose name ensures he will make the roster because it’s impossible to spell, has some potential as a run stuffer, and that Miami kid Dowell is listed as a safety but he looks a lot more like a linebacker to me. Dont know if any of these guys can make the final 53 but some should hand around on the PS. The waiver wire will likely have plenty of possibilities as the offseason rolls on too.
  18. While we're back here, it looks like the Boyd deal is finally done in Tennessee. One year, "up to" $4.5 million https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40101148/source-wr-tyler-boyd-agrees-one-year-contract-titans Callahan has some toys to play with there now, that's for sure. Of course, his QB is the mighty...Will Levis.
  19. No he had been out for a while, had his old job back. Was just his time.
  20. So half my Facebook feed is that insta of Joe tossing a football, with endless OMG comments and gifs. This is going to be the theme until camp, isn’t it. Wow, did you see that? Burrow opened a door! Look: Burrow drinks beverage! Source: Joe takes dump, flushes afterwards!
  21. Jenkins is...fine. Heaven knows the Bengals can use any and all help against the run, and between Jenkins and McKinnley they should be better. That said, they clearly had Murphy and Newton ranked ahead of Jenkins. Likely Sweat too. My take is that this was a rerun of round 1, just on the d-line. In the first they were locked in on OT and whoever the best tackle left on their board was when 18 rolled around, that was the pick. Same in the second, they were just locked in on DT.
  22. My gutters are the color of an angels robe and my walk and driveway gleam like alabaster. My back is a twisted wreck that might allow me to walk again in a few weeks. Worth it.
  23. Began power washing 10 am Finished power washing 525 pm That is all.
  24. And so the draft is over and the long slog toward camp begins. Dates for activities, such as they are, between now and then: Rookie Minicamp: May 10 OTA Offseason Workouts: May 28-30, June 3-6 Mandatory Minicamp: June 11-13
  25. As long as it isn’t Pitt. Solid guy, made a few memorable catches… (bet you can guess that one before you click)
