  1. I understand a call was placed but that Jerry turned down Mike’s offer of a six-pack of Lone Star beer (one bottle missing) and a couple expired Luby’s coupons.
  2. Got your first round pick here: https://www.thedraftnetwork.com/2024/07/09/mason-graham-scouting-report-nfl-draft
  3. This is pure speculation on my part, but my guess is you are right about the confusion and it stems from the injuries to Rankins and Hill. That meant inserting Jenkins and Guy into the lineup, neither of whom had ever taken a live snap as a Bengal before. Lou knew that so he's got other guys on the D keeping one eye on them, i.e. trying to do two jobs and ending up doing neither. And then other guys out there are trying to compensate for that. So the whole thing snowballs and there you go: a hesitant and slow defense. Lou needs to teach Guy and Jenkins their jobs this week, and yell the old Marvin mantra "do your job" at the rest of the defense all week.
  4. Commanders were playing up tempo, lots of quick throws, with rollouts/moving pockets so I think they did a good job of minimizing pass rush opportunities. But yeah when Daniels did hang in there he had all the time in the world. Fortunately Andy is nowhere near as mobile and slippery as Daniels. So hopefully they show a bit better this Sunday.
  5. Eh, I think it's more of a talent issue on defense. Simply put, the d-line is a smouldering crater. The cupboard isn't just bare, it's been dismantled and the pieces burned. Rankins, Hill and Murphy are all out. So is McKinnley Jackson, though whether he's anything or just another wasted pick, who knows. Still, more potential talent on the sidelines. Jenkins is out there playing with a cast. Sample looks done on the edge and while he can still be valuable inside imho, word is he doesn't want to move there. Ossai is a bust. The rest of the group are just guys. Backups and PS types. The only actual, talented, would-start-for-any-team blue chip dlineman we have out there right now is Hendrickson, and he can't do it all by himself. And he was looking gimpy last night too. There are no answers in FA at this point in the year. Maybe -- maybe! -- there's a trade possibility out there, I dunno. Maybe there's a team willing to swap a good DT for, say, Higgins. But I have no idea who that might be offhand, and in any event it's not how the FO rolls. And even if they did make that kind of deal the guy would probably break his leg the first time out, that's just how this season is going. Only real hope, thin as it is, is that some of the injured guys can get back on the field and contribute. Until then, it will probably stay ugly.
  6. Torn patellar tendon for Trent Brown, per Rapoport. Done for the year. Mims looked good tho, hopefully he can stay upright.
  7. Welp, it finally happened. After playing with fire year after year, the Bengals got burned and didn't win the "save the season" game in week 3. For what it's worth, week 4 has been kind to the Burrow Bengals at 3-1. The only loss was last year to Tennessee. On the flip side, we face Bengal-killer Andy Dalton. Does the Red Rifle have another bullet with their name on it? Anyhow, the silver lining is that the Bengals are now in a three-way tie with Jacksonville and Tennessee for the first overall pick in the 2025 draft.
  8. Again, QFT.
  9. That hurt no doubt but no reader and bates didn’t cause the redonkulous missed tackling and poor angles we saw all night. Just miserable fundamentals. That’s on coaching.
  10. Malik on the warpath
  11. First 0-3 start since 2019. They went 2-14 that year. Can’t say I’m sure they’ll win 2 this year. Bring on the Andy Dalton beatdown.
  12. Can’t blame you. I’m two years older than the franchise and it seems determined to make sure I die disappointed.
  13. lol now they get a call when it doesn’t matter fuck you refs
  14. So sad. 26 points and ball under 2 minutes ought to give you a chance but the d has been so bad that the game is out of reach. Lou’s name should never be mentioned in connection with a head coach job again. On a real team his ass is canned by tomorrow.
  15. Fuck, and I mean, fuck, this team.
  16. 0-3 incoming. Almost glad maybe it will wake this team up.
  17. D is a joke
  18. Nice hit stone
  19. What you are allowed to tackle the qb?
  20. Can’t stop anything
  21. DC just gonna grind it out
  22. Damn there was the turnover
  23. Ok that was a good drive
