    Worst. Song. Ever. :scream:

    Anyhow...

Getting Iloka and Eifert back can't be underestimated. Without Iloka, they've rolled with Williams, who imho is barely passable as a starter. Eifert has the ability to make AJM look really good, as he does Dalton. This marks an important week to see how AJM and Eifert mesh to keep the chains moving, and likely the key to the offense in the playoffs.

    Then there is this.

Bucky Brooks thinks McCarron can lead the Bengals deep into the playoffs.

Excellent breakdown on what McCarron can do in the offense.

not unreasonable write-up. With so little film on MCarron, there will be a period where they won't have him figured out and he can get away with some things. Fear is by the playoffs, there will be several game films and he will have been broken down, studied and weaknesses found/exploited. That's about the only thing I can fear, that and if he gets hurt. Should that happen, then I guess they can go get Ponder or Tebow, or something but it would be over anyway...

No, leave it alone.  That little hottie has gotten us to 10-3.  If someone flips the picture, it will flush our season down the toilet.

I'd like to see more of Ms. Cinnamon Toast Crunch. More poses, etc. Not for my own personal gain but for he team to offset the funk of a QB change. Yes, that's a challenge to Billy to scour the interwebs for more of her. :)

  4. First, I prefer the fine thing in Billy's sig. but that's just personal taste (prefer cinnamon over vanilla).

Bucky Brooks thinks McCarron will take them as far as they can go: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000603680/article/aj-mccarron-can-carry-the-bengals-as-far-as-they-need-him-to

Don't disagree but for the kind of blitz and pressure he'll see from Denver, Pitt, NYJ, or NE... If he can adapt and handle the reads, he "could" be tough to sit if Dalton can come back in late January, assuming the Bengals are still playing....

  5. I find myself rooting for the Vikings, especially since Zimmer arrived. When I was 9 or 10 we visited the NFL Hall of Fame during the Summer, and they were featuring the Vikings Chiefs SB that week, and I got an Alan Page jersey, what a formative highlight for me.

...an of course, whoever is playing Pitt or the Ravens. Lately, I mostly pity the Ravens. pitiful.

Looking just at next week, as far as I can tell the Bengals clinch a playoff berth with either a win over SF, or a loss by the Steelers, Chiefs or Jets.

Steelers host Denver so Cincy wins whatever happens there. But I'm rooting for Denver.

Chiefs are at the Ravens, who are a hot mess. Tough to see Baltimore doing us any favors there.

Jets are at Dallas Saturday night. NJ(b) ought to win.

A loss by New England would be great of course. Let's see they host Tenne...never mind.

Tennessee could prove a tough out for NE. Mariotta has played better and NE always seem to struggle v mobile QBs.

I think that Denver knocks Pitt back to earth. I see Von Miller getting his mitts on Benji a few times. Steelers will then mow down Ravens and Browns. I don't see Bengals getting the 1 but they could en up the 2, if they handle business, properly.

Personally, I never thought they would get to the Superbowl this year.  But what they can do in the playoffs without Dalton might have a bigger impact on the team going into the future.

The way I see it right now, the Bengals are on a collision path to play the Steelers in the WC round.  They might even get the #2 seed.  But,imagine what beating the Steelers in the playoffs would do for them.

At this point, they're officially playing with house money.

And bring on the Steelers.  That's who I want them to play.

The jury is out on McCarron. Take away two stupid throws and his day wasn't terrible. The game is actually quite close, since those two picks led to 14 points. ANd if duncy Dalton doesn't force the pick he threw, they were on the march to 7. This is a very good team that didn't fold up like a tent.

I can still see this team in the AFC Championship, @ New England. I don't think thy will be the 1 seed but that's all good.

Barnwell makes some good points: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14371328/the-cincinnati-bengals-built-competitive-even-backup-qb-nfl

I'd like to see how he does with a week or two of reps with the 1st team, getting the install while the starter. I point to Brock Osweiler getting a few wins, managing the offense, not making mistakes and having a strong D. To me its about the same thing.

Facing off against the Steelers would be fun, an purging their up-river rivals would boost their confidence. Getting Jones an Iloka back, with EIfert also on the field, and McCarron with 3 full starts under his belt would give them a good shot. F Fat Benji, and that punk-ass Mitchell. COmplaining about Burfict, while they target Eifert with a cheap shot on the first drive? Weak sauce.
