FB is by far our biggest weakness if you go by skill level. that is why i say that. If we want to have the running game we had in 05, we need a huge upgrade at FB. that is why i say that. Yes we have many positions that need upgrading badly, but my point is that I hope to god a FB is not forgotten. i could go without upgrading center for 1 more season. I also don't think Benson can carry the load for an entire season on a good team. If he does re-sign, i hope we get someone that can back him up reliably.I have no doubt that the fullback position needs an upgrade, but like I said, you could upgrade what we have EASILY with an undrafted free agent fullback this draft. The Bengals confirmed Tuesday's visit of another No. 2 candidate with the arrival of 49ers quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan, 29, is coming off his busiest season since the 2002 Saints drafted him in the sixth round out of Cal-Davis. He threw 220 of his 246 career passes and completed 57.3 percent last year for a 73.6 passer rating with eight touchdowns and 11 interceptions in nine games. The Bengals knew he'd still be there because Green Bay was set on picking Batman Carroll at #25 and the Bengals had moved down from #24 to #26, while picking up another pick. The 117th pick that they acquired from the Rams ended up being Robert Geathers.As far as the BPA talk goes, how did you rate Chris Gamble versus Perry that year? I remember how most Bengals fans thought that Gamble would be the pick and was not only the BPA but filled a major need at CB, at the time. He ended up going 28th. They really just need to be done with that sad sack of a pick and move on.I sincerely believe that the Bengals intentionally select players against common thinking, believing they can use their remarkable coaching skills to develop players that will perform at levels higher than they project. That's my only rational excuse for why we have so many misses, especially in early rounds and so many projects later in the draft. They should just hire Charlie Casserly and be donw with it.
