jjakq27 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 In a move that has left some Steelers fans scratching their heads, coach Bill Cowher has deferred to the Seahawks, and will have his team in white even though they are the home team.http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...250391/1067/SPT Quote
Stripes Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Weird choice. I don't see why one team has to be white... Why not just let both teams wear their home colors for the Big Game? Quote
Kazkal Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 how is it choosen who gets to pick anyways? I'm glad he did though I dont like seahawks aways Quote
Stickman Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 how is it choosen who gets to pick anyways? I'm glad he did though I dont like seahawks awaysI think each team is allowed to wear whatever colors they want actually.... Quote
Turi Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 It's all about the "we're underdogs and playing on the road" strategy. I think we've played those cards a little too much but if it helps it helps. Quote
blurple thunder Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 how is it choosen who gets to pick anyways? I'm glad he did though I dont like seahawks awaysThe winning probowl team is the home conference in the next SB. In other words, since Cowher won the probowl last year he got the Steelers "home" team status for this year. Quote

I always remember them in black in the games in the 70's and I think they wore black in the game against Dallas ten years ago. Quote
kayaker0678 Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 they have won all the whole time in white why change now Quote
Dan2330 Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Now I see the Pro Bowl actually has some meaning so the winning division can be classified as the home team in the next years Super Bowl. That is an even bigger joke that the Pro Bowl game itself. At least baseball All Star game gives the winning division home field during the World Series, something those of us in Chicago enjoyed having this past season. Cowher wants the road uniforms because they have been on a roll playing in them. Personally I say the 2 weeks off hurts the Steelers more than it helps them Quote
Ox Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Personally I say the 2 weeks off hurts the Steelers more than it helps themI don't know how it would. A team with as much momentum, luck and destiny on their side is hard to beat. Not to mention you know they're tired as hell from the road games. This rest'll probably refresh them. As*holes. Quote
